In Orlando, supermarkets are great places to shop for everything.

Not just food, kitchen or bathroom items, they offer everything from souvenirs to designer clothes.

Some of the best and most famous markets for shopping in orlando are:

Walmart

I thought a lot before starting this list.

I thought about which place I would talk first.

Well, I’m suspicious to talk, because Nath and I just LOVE the Walmart.

Even whenever we go to Orlando we spend at least 4 times there.

On our last trips Nath even bought Levis pants for $15 there. Bought dozens of basic $1 blouses too!

The Walmart it is an excellent location to be one of the first stops of your trip.

We always recommend a stop there on our Custom Travel Script for travelers who want to save on food.

We even bought bread and cold meats there to eat for breakfast in the next few days.

One piece of advice we like to give is: Do not overdo it with your first food purchases, as you will want to go back there to buy and try different things.

They are very famous among Brazilians, mainly because some are open 24 hours. Therefore, they are great options for those who are on a busy trip and want to stop by after a day at the park.

We recommend that you search for Walmart SuperCenter on Google and look for one near you. SuperCenter because these are the biggest ones, therefore, greater chance of finding more products with an interesting price for you

Target

Our second option when it comes to SuperMarkets for shopping in Orlando in 2022 is the dear Target!

The Target it's a little less famous among tourists, but honestly, unfairly.

It's okay that the prices of some Target items are slightly higher than the values found at Walmart.

However, Target is usually a MUCH more organized store than Walmart.

As with Walmart, we recommend that you look for the best Super Target that are near you on google.

On our last trips we went to Super Target a lot!

We really noticed a difference in prices, especially on basic things like t-shirts and food.

However, as we mentioned before, it is a much more organized store and easier to find things. It ends up becoming a more pleasant place to shop.

But if you want to shop for food for your trip, we still recommend Walmart over Super Target.

Publix

Unlike Walmart and Target which are more of a mega Department store than a market.

The Publix It is actually a super market, very similar to what we find in Brazil.

He is very famous among Orlando and Florida residents.

It's a great place to shop and with many pay 1 get 2 deals.

It is well known for its superior quality in fresh foods like fruits and vegetables.

It is a little more expensive than Walmart, however the superiority in this type of food makes publix an excellent option for those who are looking for a market only for their food purchases in Orlando in 2021

Orlando Outlet Shopping 

Premium outlets

Perhaps the most famous place for shopping in Orlando are the premium outlets. Not everyone knows that there are 2 of them in Orlando.

One is closer to Disney and the other to Universal, despite not being related to either company.

They are the Vineland and International Drive Premium Outlet.

If you have time, we recommend going to 2, both have excellent Shops and promotions and there are several exclusive stores in each of them, so you're guaranteed excellent shopping at both!

Both don't need a lot of introductions because there you can find practically everything, there are Nike, Adidas, Carters, Hugo Boss, Fossil, Gap, Tommy, Polo, Nautica, Shoe Stores, Bag Stores, Perfume Stores and more.

Our only recommendation here is: Avoid shopping at the kiosks that are found in the middle of the outlets, shop only in stores!

Lake Buena Vista Factory Stores

Not as well known as the famous Premium Outlets, the Lake Buena Vista Factory Stores is an excellent alternative outlet option for your trip.

In addition to finding several famous stores here too, as it is a slightly emptier outlet, it is possible to find more organized stores and many good deals!

With several famous stores such as Fossil, Crocs, Gap, Calvin Klein and Aeropostale, Lake Buena Vista Factory Stores is a guarantee of good shopping!

Department Stores Shopping in Orlando

Other places that are also favorites among Brazilian travelers to Orlando are the giant department stores.

Some you probably already know like Ross and Marshalls. Target and Walmart can also be considered department stores.

But as we mentioned them earlier in the Markets section, we will not mention them again here.

In this section of the Orlando shopping 2021 post, we will list some of the stores we recommend you check out.

Ross Dress for Less 

I can't imagine what it would be like to start the department store section without mentioning perhaps the favorite store among Brazilians.

The Ross It's one of those stores that I usually say that you won't find exactly what you're looking for, but you'll find other excellent alternatives.

Why do I say that?

Well, it's an outlet store, there you'll find things from brands like nike, Tommy, Polo or pretty much any brand you can think of.

The thing is, as prices are very low, inventories run very quickly. So if you've watched a review from someone on ross showing a bag or sneakers at a wonderful price.

The chance of you finding it there a few weeks later and in its size is almost nil.

But it is still an excellent store because you will find everything.

On our last trip I even bought a fossil watch for $40. And I didn't even go looking for a watch hehehe.

I bought perfumes, shorts and clothes. My biggest concern in this store is that I always get separated from Nath and when I find her. She found everything there, bought dresses for less than $15, bags and sneakers too!

The variety in stores is exceptional, we recommend that you set aside at least 1-2 hours, or longer if possible.

This is not only because of its size, but because it is quite exhausting to look for clothes there. They are on racks that extend throughout almost every store (see photo on the side) and as many people are unique, you will need to look very carefully to find exactly what you want.

Marshalls

Like Ross Dress for Less at Marshalls you can find almost everything and with attractive prices like the others.

Overall she is very similar to Ross in terms of the things you find there, however we found her to be slightly more organized than Ross.

I like to make the analogy that Marshalls is to Ross what Target is to Walmart.

So as not to go too far, the tips and suggestions we made for Ross are valid here as well.

Like Ross, you will also find Marshalls in several locations in Orlando as you can see in the image to the side. To find the one closest to you, a brief google query will give you the answer.

There are 2 more stores that in my opinion are very similar in their proposal to Marshalls and Ross, they are:

Burlington

TJ Maxx

Both are excellent options as well and recommended for many travelers.

Just like Marshalls, the TJ Maxx stores they are also very well organized and offer an excellent diversity of products.

Best buy

Electronics paradise! That's right, the Best buy It's one of those stores that make you freak out when you like electronics.

With many options for all types of electronics such as cell phones, computers, video games, cameras, camcorders, headphones, speakers and any other type of electronics you can think of.

I will make a confession. On our last trip we went to Best Buy which is right across from the Florida Mall. We went there because I was looking to buy myself a HeadPhone.

Well, I found the prices VERY expensive. Enter what I commented at the beginning of the post. Not everything is worth buying in the United States.

I'm one of those people that when I want to buy something, I plan, research and keep an eye out for promotions.

When I got there, it was a slight disappointment to see the prices, and I ended up buying it cheaper at amazon.with.

But overall it is an excellent and very democratic store with many shopping options.

Five Below

I thought a lot before putting this store here. But Five Below can be another great ally on your trip.

It's one of those stores where everything is cheap. The purpose of the store is to be everything from $5 dollars down and there you will find almost everything.

We usually say that this is more of a souvenir shop. I can't imagine going to that store to buy anything other than that.

Because despite having a wide variety of products, yes, it does not have the necessary variety that a market like Walmart, for example, offers.

Shopping at Malls in Orlando

Florida Mall

The Florida Mall is central Florida's largest indoor mall.

It is one of the most famous shopping spots in Orlando next to the Premium Outlets. We even have a post entirely dedicated to him: Florida Mall – Is it worth it?

Every year, more than 20 million people fly to shopper's paradise, and for good reason.

The mall boasts nearly 2 million square meters of retail space, as well as more than 270 stores and restaurants.

Among the many shopping options there you will find stores such as: Macy's, Dillards, JC Penney, Sears, Hollister and Abercrombie.

The Mall at Millenia should be your first stop if you're looking for luxury brands in Orlando, as long as you're not too worried about price.

While other commercial establishments get big on discounts, this upscale mall is the kind of place that goes with the old adage: “if you have to ask how much it costs, you probably can't afford it”.

With 150 luxury stores and dining options, this mall will please many just in its look!

One of the highlights of this mall for us is the food section, the famous CheeseCake Factory!

Pointe Orlando

Another of the hidden gems on International Drive, the Pointe Orlando is a reasonable option if you have extra time on your trip.

Let's agree that in fact the strong point of this mall is not shopping but entertainment. So much so that several of its restaurants are in our International Drive restaurant guide.

We believe it's a good place to spend time, especially if you're staying close to International Drive, but it's important to note that you don't prefer this mall as your first choice.
