Dining with Donald Duck at Disney in 2022
This is one of the “easiest” and most direct ways to have a very personal interaction and a great opportunity to take a picture with Donald Duck at Disney.
First, let's remember that the schedule with the characters' schedules can change without notice at Disney.
The only way to be absolutely 100% sure you'll be able to find the character you want is with the official Disney apps.
Those apps offer the official calendar of activities in the parks in the coming days. This will allow you to plan more accordingly.
However, the pattern for meeting Donald Duck is what you will see below.
First, we'll list the opportunities to have a character meal!
Hollywood and Vine Restaurant – Hollywood Studios
You can find Donald Duck dressed in special themed clothes during the meal at the Hollywood and Vine Restaurant in the Hollywood Studios.
Depending on the time of year, the character will be wearing a different outfit. There are 4 variations:
- summer clothes;
- spring attire;
- Halloween Fantasy;
- Christmas clothes.
To get to know him, you'll need to have a meal in the place. It can be lunch (from 11:20 am to 3 pm) or dinner (from 3:20 pm to 8 pm).

- Lunch (from 11 am to 3:30 pm);
- Dinner (3:35 pm to 8:30 pm).
Here, he may also be accompanied by Mickey, Goofy and Daisy, but not Minnie.

Chef Mickey's – Contemporary Resort

Cape May Cafe – Beach Club Resort
Another way to find Donald Duck outside of Disney parks is at the Cape May Cafe, located in the hotel Beach Club Resort.
Here, you'll find Donald Duck wearing a beach outfit, more informal and stripped down. The opportunity is much shorter: only for breakfast, from 7:30 am until 11 am.
In addition to him, you can also find Minnie, Goofy and Daisy in the same environment.
How to Find Donald Duck at Disney 2022
In addition to special meal events, it is also possible to take a picture with Donald Duck at Disney in attractions prepared for this.
In these opportunities, you will take a queue to hug and interact with the character, it works as if it were an attraction in the park.
It is the famous “Meet and Greet” (you can also take a picture at the events above, but these are during a meal at the aforementioned restaurants).

Pete's Silly Slideshow, Fantasyland – Magic Kingdom
The most famous Disney characters get a circus outfit in this exciting attraction.
Here, it is possible to find Donald Duck (or rather Astounding Donaldo) and Goofy (I mean The Great Goofini) in the same row, in addition to Minnie Magnifique (Minnie) and Madame Daisy Fortuna (Daisy) in the other.
Everyone is dressed in special clothes, as if they were circus performers. It's pretty cool!
As you don't have to pay for any meals in this event, just arrive and wait in line for your turn to tease the characters.
Usually they are there from 10am until 7:30pm.
DinoLand – Animal Kingdom
Donald Duck, the great archaeologist and knowledge of dinosaurs. At least that's his role at DinoLand, located in Animal kingdom.
He is there dressed in character, with a typical “dinosaur hunter” outfit. Looks like it came straight out of Jurassic Park for Animal Kingdom!

Mexico Pavilion – Epcot
Thought you wouldn't have a chance to meet Donald Duck at Epcot? Of course it would!
He is dressed in character, with a sombrero and poncho, in the Mexico pavilion, at the World showcase, over at Epcot.
It is usually available from noon to 2:45 pm and from 3:30 pm to 7:15 pm.
In this event, he is alone, without any companion. However, queues tend to be short.
How to meet Donald Duck at Disney with traditional clothing in 2022?
Okay, did you notice that in ALL of the aforementioned events Donald Duck is always in costume? Either it's a cook's outfit, or it's a beach outfit. Dressed as a Mexican, circus, dinosaur hunter.
But what about traditional Donald Duck, with his most famous outfit? Can you find him, hug him and take a picture?
It does! But beware: there is only one opportunity for this.
Donald Duck in his traditional costume is located on the Sid Cahuenga's, the “cabin” where you can check out all the photos that have been taken of you by Disney PhotoPass photographers.
There, you can see the photos, choose the ones you like the most, and buy digital or physical versions of them.
Also, from park opening until 11:45 am and from 12:45 pm until 3:15 pm, you can find Donald Duck and Daisy in their traditional clothes.
You can hug them and take a picture with them both!
