Without a doubt, one of the Orlando restaurants that most resembles Disney is certainly the Chef Mickey's! In addition, it is one of the most popular restaurants for tourists who want to have a meal with Disney Characters!

Let's check out why!

In it, in addition to enjoying delicious meals, you will find some of the most beloved Disney characters.

All of this makes Chef Mickey's one of Orlando's most sought-after restaurants.

We were there on our last trip, and who accompanies us on the Instagram followed live everything we did there!

Today we're going to take a look at what you'll find at Chef Mickey's and share some photos too!

How is Chef Mickey's

Let's start by talking a little about how this restaurant is so loved by tourists!

Located inside the Contemporary Resort Hotel, Check Mickey's is open and spacious, separated by low partitions that allow for a broader view of the venue.

And despite being one of the Disney hotels more expensive and chic Disney, it has that very informal atmosphere of ?finally I'm at Disney!?, that is, you do not feel intimidated inside it!

You can relax and expect a super informal atmosphere, especially in the Chef Mickey's (If you go to another restaurant in the hotel, like the California Grill, then you'll have to go a little tidier).

The Monorail, which runs through the interior of the Hotel, also cuts through the restaurant on one side, allowing a view into a separate event.

Chef Mickey's is a super open restaurant, it has almost no walls (a well thought out idea, because everyone who is outside or passing by the Monorail is dying to visit).

The cool thing about this is that although it is always full, there is never the feeling of being in the middle of the crowd.

Still here, we'll talk about which characters you'll find at Chef Mickey's, the characteristics of each of the meals served by the restaurant and more important information for your visit to Chef Mickey's.

So let's get to the characters!

Chef Mickey's Characters

When we travel with children, interactivity with characters is part of the most memorable moments of the trip.

Even if there isn't children in the group, this interactivity is very cool for adults who are passionate about the Disney universe, and ends up touching our inner child.

The characters found at Chef Mickey's are Mickey, Pluto, Minnie, Goofy and Donald Duck, and they will all be dressed in kitchen attire to welcome you.

The characters move around the tables to chat and take pictures with everyone.

Pay attention when they are circulating so as not to go to the buffet at that time.

Even so, if you miss the opportunity, you can wait for them to circulate every hour. You can also ask the waiter for a character to come, in case you missed a picture with one of them.

Disney photographers also record these moments, and if you want any of these photos, you can purchase them through the Photopass service, paying an additional fee.

Still, you can register a photo with Disney photographers at the entrance, and this is included in the Memory Maker service.

Dining at Chef Mickey's

Chef Mickey's restaurant serves breakfast, brunch and dinner, all buffet style.

That is, you pay a single fee per person and as you wish. Check out the features of each of these Chef Mickey's meals.

Breakfast at Chef Mickey's

Chef Mickey's breakfast is extensive with lots of options. Among the main buffet options are the famous Mickey waffles.

In addition, traditional American-style scrambled eggs, potatoes and bacon, as well as seasonal fruits are also offered at the buffet. Breads, cereals, croissants, jams, among others, complement the breakfast, all with great quality.

Chef Mickey's Breakfast starts at 7 am, so if you go to the restaurant on a day visiting the parks it's good to go early, as the parks generally open at 9am.

If you go on a day when you don't go to the park, you can enjoy it until later, and even skip lunch. Chef Mickey's breakfast is Served until 11:15 am.

Brunch

Also in buffet style, brunch at Chef Mickey's mixes options that are served at dinner with breakfast options, in addition to delicious desserts.

It starts at 11:30 am and ends at 2:30 pm.

Pancakes with chocolate chips, fruit, waffles and yogurts, as well as omelettes, bacon and potatoes common in American-style breakfasts are also present at brunch.

Additionally, nuggets, macaroni and cheese, and soups are on the buffet menu. Meat options are varied including fish, shrimp, pork ribs.

Rice, vegetables, salads and pasta complement the brunch menu, which is the most complete among the three options served at Chef Mickeys.

Drinks, you order directly from the waiters with options of juices and soft drinks, iced or hot teas, coffees, and hot chocolate.

How is dinner?

The good thing about dining at Chef Mickey's is that you've already done everything you need to do for the day, so you can sit down and eat at your leisure.

The not-so-upside is that with so many delicious options, you can end up overdoing an evening meal.

Dinner starts at 5:00 pm and ends at 9:30 pm, so try to have dinner a little earlier that day so that your digestion goes smoother and you make the most of it.

The same brunch drinks are offered at night, but at this meal you can order a drink that is paid separately.

The brunch options that will also be at dinner are pasta, salads, shrimp and nuggets.

The dinner buffet is complemented by sushi, salmon, lobster noodles, salmon and more meat options.

Desserts are also present at this meal, including machine ice cream that you can serve yourself by adding sauces and complements.

How Do I Make a Reservation at Chef Mickey's?

It is recommended to book in advance, and this can happen 180 days in advance for non-guests and for Disney guests up to 190 days in advance.

Booking is free of charge unless you cancel. In this case, a fee of USD 10.00 per person is charged to the credit card of your account registered with My Disney Experience.

Even so, it is possible to change the date or cancel up to 24 hours in advance before the reservation date.

To make a reservation, simply access the Disney website or download the Disney App.

On the Mouse Dining website, you can check the vacancies available during the period of one month for breakfast, brunch and dinner and set up a free alert if any available vacancies appear.

In this case, the site will send an email to notify you of the vacancy.
On the day of your reservation, you arrive at the restaurant and make your identification at the reception.

You will receive a pager and when it rings it means your table is now available.

Cost of Meals at Chef Mickey

Meals cost US$ 35.00 for children 3-9 years old and US$ 59.99 per adult.

To this amount must be added the rates of 6.5% of taxes and 18% to 20% of tips.

Children up to three years old do not pay.

The cost can be a little high, but the experience is really pleasant, tasty and fun, including the moment when the characters rotate their napkins to the rhythm of a song, encouraging everyone to do the same.
