The Hidden Mickeys as they are known at Disney are Mickey drawings, character's ears or just some part of it that are scattered throughout the parks, resorts and several locations in the disney complex.

The idea started in disney movies where in some there were some characters from other movies, for example, scar is seen in the Hercules movie, or Sebastião in the Aladdin movie and besides, some hidden Mickeys.

The joke was so successful that it ended up in the real world.

Sometimes they are very well hidden, in some other cases they are very visible.

I particularly love finding Hidden Mickeys, I tend to be on the lookout for one at any time, it's a really fun game to play in the parks.

Especially if you're a fan of Disney secrets and likes to enjoy these alternative “amusements” both in parks and in hotels all over the world. Walt Disney World Resort.

Let's play a game first.

That said, let's talk about the Hidden Mickeys for each park specifically. We won't go into so much detail about the hotels because there are so many mickeys in the resorts that this post would be huge.

But if you happen to want to know where to find Hidden Mickeys at resorts, let us know in the comments.

Another alternative is buy the official book which shows many of the Mickeys hidden by WDW.

We have it, we bought it on our last trip at the Contemporary Hotel gift shop, but you can order directly through amazon and have it delivered to your home so you can prepare it even before your trip, in addition to being much cheaper.

Hidden Mickeys in Magic Kingdom

Naturally it would be impossible to talk about all of them here as there are literally hundreds or even thousands in this park alone, but we will list the most “famous” ones here.

Hidden Mickey on Splash Mountain

Frontierland in Magic Kingdom is home to one of the most thrilling attractions, which leaves guests soaking wet.

Splash Mountain invites guests on an adventure with Br?er Rabbit as he constantly avoids capture by Br?er Fox and Br?er Bear.

The Splash mountain it's home to several Hidden Mickeys, but the biggest one can be seen from both the exterior and interior of the attraction.

Right at the opening of the final fall, guests standing on the bridge outside Splash Mountain to look at the rockwork on the right hand side to locate this Hidden Mickey.

If you're on board the attraction, just look for Hidden Mickey on your left.

Mickey's face can be found formed out of rocks and the easiest way to identify him is to look for his nose first.

One of the Haunted Mansion's most iconic moments occurs when guests enter the ballroom and finally see the happy haunts having a party below.

If you look closely, you will see a Hidden Mickey on the huge banquet table made up of two small plates and a large plate.

Extra: Donald Hidden

In the Haunted Mansion you will have the opportunity to see a Hidden Donald, which is very rare. In fact, this is the only one I know of.

He looks good in the first scenes of the attraction, in the red armchair you will see the silhouette of Donald.

Under the Sea? Journey of the Little Mermaid

in the new Fantasyland, guests who are Ariel fans can embark on a wonderful adventure with her on the Under the Sea – Journey of the Little Mermaid attraction.

The attraction retells the classic story of The Little Mermaid through memorable scenes and music.

After enjoying the attraction, guests exit the building and head back to the new Fantasyland.

Once you exit the attraction, you should go back and look for a series of rocks that can be found on the left side of a small pool of water.

The rocks form a hidden three-dimensional Mickey Steamboat, including his hat and captain's wheel. This Hidden Mickey is extremely difficult to spot!

Hidden Mickey in Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin

At Tomorrowland is an attraction that invites guests to Star Command for their chance to become galactic heroes.

Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin has guests take aim at targets and help defeat the evil Emperor Zurg.

While queuing for the attraction, you can spot several references to the planet Pollust Prime, which features a landmass that forms the silhouette of an Hidden Mickey Mouse.

Hidden Mickey on Big Thunder Mountain Railroad

The wildest jungle tour can be found in the Magic Kingdom's Frontierland.

Big Thunder Mountain Railroad invites guests to hold onto their hats and eyewear as they cruise through the mining town of Tumbleweed.

Just before heading back to the loading station on Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, you should look down on the ground on the right side of the train to spot a Hidden Mickey made by two small gears on top of a large one, it's pretty easy to find.

Hidden Mickey at Pirates of the Caribbean

A classic must-see attraction at Magic Kingdom can be found at Adventureland, inside a large fort.

Pirates of the Caribbean invites guests to set sail with swashbuckling pirates who can be found looting a burning seaside village.

Near the end of the ride, you'll come across a cutscene that shows three pirates trapped in a prison cell trying to lure a nearby dog to bring them the keys.

You must look closely at this scene to find a padlock that takes the form of a classic Hidden Mickey.
