The Splash mountain It is one of the most beloved attractions in the park. Magic Kingdom at Disney and one of our big favorites among all the Disney pulls.
On this post
It is based on an old classic Disney cartoon, ?The Song of the South? (Song of the South). It is a very fun attraction that ends in a super radical drop.
During the 11 minutes of tour, you will follow the unfolding of the story where the rabbit ?Br?er Rabbit? is being chased by ?Br?er Fox? and "Br?er Bear" on a boat that holds up to eight passengers.
The fall at the end of the tour is 16 meters high and has an inclination of 45 degrees, and thus makes the boat reach a speed of 65 km/h.
Many visitors like to watch others plummet in Splash mountain, for that there is an appropriate place to watch this show that from time to time makes you die with laughter.
Does Splash Mountain Wet A Lot?
Many people ask us “Does Splash Mountain get very wet?”. No! Despite the big drop, the boat has high sides, so you don't get SO MUCH wet. But you can expect it to be slightly damp.
But pay attention to where to sit on the attraction if you want to get less wet.
In fact, your position in the cart has a good influence on the amount of water that will reach you.
The further ahead of the Cart, the wetter you will be!
So, don't forget, in case it's a cold day, take extra clothes in your backpack or wear a raincoat during the tour just in case!
Including Splash mountain It is highly recommended on hot days for a light refreshment!
We recommend that you sit in the first or last seat of the boat.
First, because it's more exciting to fall from the front, your adrenaline will go up. Also, you have a better chance of doing better or worse in the photo.
Anyway, it will be easier to see you in the photos. Below we put a picture of us in the last row for you to see how you can see it well (Look at Nath's face! )

How is Splash Mountain?
I take the opportunity to point out that Splash mountain is one of our favorite attractions of all Walt Disney World.
We love everything, including the music. In case you've never been and are expecting a tech-filled attraction.
Don't be disappointed, it's a classic attraction, so its animatronics aren't very modern.
Despite being an “old” attraction in 2013, a Splash mountain underwent a period of reforms.
That way it was completely restored and painted. The attraction looks brand new, befitting the park's more current attractions.
Disney has already announced that it will be totally finished for the new theme, the Princess and the Frog.

As splash is one of our favorite attractions, we always show it on our channel and in our instagram stories.
Is it worth going to Splash Mountain?
As we've said a few times, Splash Mountain is without a doubt one of our favorite attractions in the Magic Kingdom and perhaps all the Disney parks.
We strongly believe it is a must-see Magic Kingdom attraction.
Some exceptions are for people who are very afraid of heights or have a problem with falling. While this drop isn't terribly scary for most, we understand that some people are more sensitive to this issue.
Overall it is a very complete family attraction that we love and is always on our travel itineraries!
Rethematization of Attraction
Disney recently announced that Splash Mountain will be re-themed.
At the moment I can say that I didn't really like this idea because it is without a doubt the most nostalgic attraction in the park for me and one of our favorites.
However, Disney always manages to surprise with changes, as it did with the closing show Happily ever After that replaces our beloved Wishes.

Good at announced retheming by Disney is that Splash Mountain will now be based on the movie “The Princess and the Frog”. We hope to see something amazing with a revamp of a series of animatronics and a whole new experience.
The opening date of the re-themed attraction has not yet been set!

Get your Parks Tickets at a Discount
Many people leave to buy their tickets when they arrive in Orlando or even on park day.
We absolutely do not recommend that you do this for a number of reasons, such as:
If you buy tickets on the spot, you won't be able to book your park days in advance at the risk of not even being able to enter a park on a given day.
You will lose valuable park minutes in line to buy your tickets.
AND MOSTLY, you will pay more because tickets at the box office are more expensive than buying in advance!
Access our ticket website to buy your tickets or request a free consultation to find out exactly which tickets are the best to buy.
