Orlando is not all about parks, a big part of a fantastic travel experience is getting to know good restaurants and the Olive garden It is one of the places you will want to visit!

It is still a favorite with tourists and one of ours too!

And its fame is no coincidence, good food at an excellent price makes it one of the best options for dinner after a tiring day in the Magic Kingdom or any other Orlando park.

Any of the units of this restaurant are full of Brazilians and, those who travel to visit Disney, usually also reserve at least one day to visit one of its branches.

In a way, the Olive garden it has already become a “tourist point” for several tourists in Orlando.

We love the Olive Garden, so much so that on our last trip we went twice.

They have an entry there that is one of my all-time favorites. Orlando restaurants. (Spoiler) it's the Lasagna Frita (pictured above)!

But what's so great about this restaurant chain? Why are Brazilians so attracted to her? Let's see next!

What is Olive Garden Orlando?

You walk through the streets of Orlando when you notice, in the distance, a kind of “little castle” with stones, some marsala walls and others orange.

He approaches carefully and the logo with a green olive branch appears in front of him.

That's it: you've arrived at Olive Garden, one of the main restaurant chains in Orlando.

They serve Italian food that has been “Americanized”. This means that the recipes are not original 100%, which you would find in Italy, but updated with some US habits.

One of the most interesting details there is that the food is cheap by Orlando restaurant standards.

That is: it is possible to arrive, order two main courses and a dessert and leave paying less than $40 dollars.

Is it easy to find Olive Garden in Orlando?

Why talk if I can show. Look at the amount of Olive Garden you can find around the city.

We will list here some of the addresses closest to the places where tourists usually visit or stay.

One is on the famous International Drive (near the outlets), for example, while another Florida Mall.

Check out some of the units in most visited locations:

  • Fashion Square Mall – 3675 E Colonial Drive;
  • Millenia Mall – 4101 Conroy Road;

Since we've mentioned pricing and all, let's take a moment to talk about the menu at Olive Garden Orlando.

As there are many different branches of the franchise, they have different menus and it is difficult to say for sure what you will find in each place.

It is possible to check the menus online (we recommend that you do this), but the most famous dishes are almost mandatory in all franchises.

For example, the famous Shrimp Alfredo (pasta in white sauce with shrimp) is available in virtually all units. By the way, check out a list of the main dishes at Olive Garden:

  • Seafood Alfredo: pasta in white sauce with seafood;
  • Shrimp Alfredo: pasta in white sauce with shrimp;
  • Chicken Alfredo: pasta in white sauce with chicken;
  • Cheese Ravioli: Cheese Ravioli;
  • Chicken Parmigiana: two chicken breasts fried parmigiana, with marinara sauce, melted Parmesan cheese, served with spaghetti;
  • Eggplant Parmigiana: eggplant parmigiana with marinara sauce, melted Parmesan cheese and spaghetti;
  • Lasagna Classico: lasagna with parmesan, mozzarella, and meat sauce;
  • Five Cheese Ziti al Forno: A mixture of five cheese and pasta.

Apart from them, there are still many other food options, such as salads, seafood, meat, chicken and more.

We love the starters too. They serve a wonderful bread that is free and there is also the Lasagna Frita that we mentioned at the beginning of this post.

This fried lasagna is exactly as the name says and is creamy and delicious!

One of the most interesting options is the Tour of Italy, which serves small portions of three of the main dishes of the house: Fettuccine Alfredo, Lasagna Classico and Chicken Parmigiana.

Another cool possibility is to assemble your own bowl (I like the word cumbuca!) with 6 pasta options, 5 sauce alternatives and 6 mixture choices.

You can put together a bowl of spaghetti, with a 5-cheese sauce and grilled chicken breast.

Or angel hair, with marinara sauce and meatballs.

There are many possible combinations.

In addition to the main dishes, one of the highlights at Olive Garden Orlando are the famous garlic and butter buns that are served as a side dish.

Their dough is a secret, but their breads are delicious. They offer a little basket with some bread, totally free.

This entry, of course, is one of Olive Garden's greatest hits. Some people go there just for that! So much so that the restaurant created some sandwiches with these breads (which are also a success).

What is the price of meals at Olive Garden?

Olive Garden is an inexpensive restaurant by Orlando standards.

Of course, it's okay eat cheaper than he gave us Disney parks (as for example in Epcot, Magic Kingdom and Hollywood Studios).

However, they are fast food foods, mostly frozen that are heated or fried on the spot.

Here, the food is more elaborate, tastier and the price is still a little higher.

The good news is that the dishes are so generous that you can share them between two people and not go hungry. For example, the Chicken Parmigiana comes with two chicken breast steaks and plenty of pasta. It's enough for two people to eat and costs $16.99 (more or less $8.50 per person).

The Tour of Italy is also a dish that can be shared between two people and costs $$18.49. The option to build your own custom pasta bowl costs $11.99.

In general, the main dishes revolve around this: from $15 to $20 dollars each, a little less in the cheaper ones. There are rare dishes that exceed $20 dollars.

Desserts (chocolate brownie lasagna, mousse, dolcini, tiramisu, there are many options) range from 3 dollars to $7 dollars, with few options above that.

Again, you can check all prices in advance on the restaurants' online menus.

Is it worth eating there?

Well, after having seen all that, we come to the golden question: is it worth eating at Olive Garden Orlando?

For me, the answer is simple: yes, it is worth it.

There are many reasons for this.

The units are very well located and accessible, the price is very good, the service is excellent (you even get some mint chocolates with the bill) and the food is delicious and the price is not the worst.

When we put all the points together, the experience is extremely positive.

You eat very well, spending little per person and in a comfortable environment, without being crowded and with professional service.

It's really worth visiting one of the branches at least once (but I'm sure that, after your first dinner, you'll want to go back there again and again!).

A good tip to make the most of Olive Garden is to sign up for their newsletter (on the official website) a few days before your trip.

So you can earn some discount coupons or free desserts.
