It was once a table service restaurant, with wonderful dishes, well served and its gardens were great places to dine facing the lake when the sun went down. However, the site at the end of 2018 has already started to experience some problems.

After the pandemic, when the parks reopened, Tangerine was open for a few days before closing as its operators unfortunately faced difficult financial issues.

The Disney complex, however, decided to keep the place, even for its history and thus took over the property of the restaurant. Soon, the decor and menu underwent renovations, but remained faithful to the region's cuisine.

Operation

The opening hours of Tangerine Coffee it is from 11 am until 9 pm. Remember that you need Epcot tickets, one of the Disney parks, to enter the Morocco pavilion and the restaurant.

Location

The restaurant is located between the France and Japan pavilion, inside the Epcot park in Orlando. There is even a pier right in front of the Morocco space, if you want to leave the beginning of the countries, without having to walk the half circle passing one by one.

If you walk, it stays in the middle of the circle, no matter if the visitor takes the right or left path. It's a good walk, but as there's so much to see, you don't even realize how far you've walked.

Reservation

Currently, the Tangerine Coffee it's a counter service restaurant, so it doesn't need a reservation. However, as it is in this time of restructuring it is important that visitors take a look at the site before they travel.

Since this aspect can change and maybe need reservation. Nowadays, however, all you have to do is order at the counter, sit at a table and enjoy the flavors of Morocco.

Disney requires reservations to be made up to 45 days in advance to guarantee service. In particular, in restaurants that have interaction with the characters, this is not the case, but it is worth planning and putting together a travel itinerary.

What is Tangerine Café's menu like?

the menu of Tangerine Coffee is a reference to Moroccan food. Therefore, there is a lot of kebab, hummus and meals that refer to the Arab world, for example:

  • chicken chermoula on the grill;
  • spiced lamb kebabs, carrot chickpea salad and garlic aioli;
  • fried falafel pita with tahini sauce;
  • Moroccan stone bread with hummus, chermoula and Zhoug sauce;
  • pistachio cake with cinnamon cream and candied nuts.

A differentiator on the menu Tangierine Cafe is a dessert that is shaped like a rosebud, literally. It is a Panna cotta, it is made of pistachios, vanilla and rose water.

Finally, it is worth mentioning that visually it is perfect and ends the meal with a sample of the restaurant's affection for its visitors.

Ideal for all tastes?

The Tangerine Coffee usually pleases more those with an adult palate, but regardless of age. That's because there are many children who eat meat, bread, seasonings and accept vegetables. However, there are those who refuse anything other than hamburgers and fries.

They change according to the year and follow the festive calendar of the park. In addition, the entire complex prepares itself for the Disney springs which starts in April. The Flower & Garden festival options that are currently available are:

  • Ginger and Elderberry Ale, Playalinda Brewing Company, Titusville, Florida;

Disney is known to be a master at creating magic and themed environments, in fact, this is also true within each pavilion at Epcot. When she took over the restaurant, she overhauled the design, but kept the essence of the place.

An example is the Tangerine entrances with stained glass above the door, in addition to the chandeliers with Arab references and the fountain in the middle of the garden, which has a tiled base.

Is Tangerine Café one of the best restaurants in Epcot?

The Tangerine Coffee It's a great restaurant and offers good, well-seasoned food that's out of the ordinary at an amusement park. However, he is currently not one of the best for a few years now.

The pandemic, unfortunately, was a difficult period for Tangerine and it is going through a period of consolidating a new menu, a process that may take some time.

The place, however, has all the potential, after all, it has history, in addition, for many years, it was a reference point for Arab meals, always full, with lots of joy, music and dancing in its gardens.

Finally, it is expected that over time, the Tangerine Coffee will definitely be one of the best restaurants in the world. epcot attractions.
