How is Enzo's Hideaway decorated?
One of the aspects that make Enzo's Hideaway so cool is its ambiance. It is a restaurant built in the shape of a tunnel, simulating a smuggling space at the time of Prohibition.
If you don't know what we're talking about, that's fine. We'll explain! It feels like history is coming!
In the mid-19th century, the average beverage consumption in the US was 1.7 spirits a week. To give you an idea, in 2010 this number was 3 TIMES lower. In other words, they drank a lot.
Eventually, the situation began to get complicated and society at the time blamed the high consumption of alcohol for the level of poverty and violence in the country. Then, in 1920, a law was passed that prohibited the consumption of alcohol in the US.
Exactly: for some years it was prohibited to manufacture, sell, transport, export, import or drink alcohol in the USA.
The law was in effect for 13 years, from 1920 until 1933. At first, people approved of the measure, but eventually, they started buying illegal alcohol in illegal bars.
These bars were run by mobsters, the most famous being Al Capone. Normally, bars were located underground in cities, so as not to attract the attention of the police. Eventually, in 1933, the Act was repealed and alcohol consumption returned to “normal” in the US, but this period was marked in the country's history.
If you've watched any mafia series or movie, such as Boardwalk Empire for example, you must have seen this US era in action.
Enzo's Hideaway simulates this moment, being a bar that was supposed to have been used to transport illegal drinks across the country.
That's why the whole place is decorated as if it were a clandestine tunnel. The furniture is all from the early 20th century and the atmosphere there is very nice.
What is the restaurant's menu?
However, there is no point in having an excellent decoration if the food is not good, is it? Well, it's cool, but it's important to have good food to be a successful restaurant.
And in that, Enzo's Hideaway doesn't disappoint. After all, he is the best Italian restaurant at Disney, without a doubt.

Lunch and dinner
One of the main attractions of Enzo's Hideaway is the plate of sausages and artisanal cheeses. It costs US$$17 per person and comes with Parma ham cured for 24 months, Parmigiano cheese, salami, spicy Finocchiona, pecorino Romano, olives and a special bread called grissini.
The 2 times I went I asked for this board! I have to say, it's wonderful! Every ingredient is amazing and worth every penny as you can see in the image below how this delight is!
For starters, the restaurant offers several options such as:
- Caesar salad;
- Cheesecakes with salsa and marinara sauce;
- Classic meatballs with tomato sauce;
- Roasted Vegetable Soup and more.
As for the main course, it has everything you could imagine from Italian haute cuisine, such as ravioli, lasagna, pasta, sirloin steak, branzino, eggplant with parmesan and much more.
For dessert, Enzo's Hideaway has several options, with the highlight going to Gelato, right? There are several different flavors and it costs $4 dollars per ball.

For children, there are 3 main course options:
- Spaghetti With Meatballs;
- Pizza slice;
- penne and butter.
Drinks
The restaurant has a variety of beverage options as well. For children, milk, apple juice, fruit punch, soda and chocolate are served.
For adults, there are several drinks with or without alcohol, including artisanal Italian soft drinks, San Benedetto water, lemonades, sangrias, cocktails and, of course, several excellent Italian wines.
Where is Enzo's Hideaway?
Enzo's Hideaway is pretty easy to find. It is located in Disney springs, in an area known as The Landing (it's a small island with restaurants).
Enzo's Hideaway is very easy to find, but the full address is as follows: 1560 East Buena Vista Drive, Lake Buena Vista, Florida, 32830.
The restaurant is open every day, with lunch being served from noon until 3:30 pm, while dinner starts from 5 am until 11 pm.
Disney recommends that you book your trip to the restaurant in advance, as it can be difficult to find an available table when you arrive on time.
Is it worth going to Enzo?s Hideaway?
So, is it worth going to Enzo?s Hideaway or not?
If you like a high-end dining experience, then of course you do.
It is important to note that Enzo's menu is relatively expensive.
For example, imagine two adults eating a complete meal with a starter, main course and dessert, plus a glass of wine.
It would give about $60 dollars per person. Of course, there is a way to have a cheaper meal there, but this is the more or less level.
For a low-cost Italian meal, we recommend the Olive garden, which is a very popular restaurant with Brazilians for the good food and acceptable price.
In addition, there are other interesting options in the Italy pavilion at Epcot, also with great typical country foods.
In summary, Enzo's Hideaway is an expensive restaurant, but with very good food and an incredible ambiance, especially for those who love the Prohibition Period theme.
