Who owns the resort?

The Resort was designed and created by Universal Pictures, one of the world's leading entertainment companies.

Thus, the resort is part of Universal Parks & Resorts, a division of the Universal group, which is a subsidiary of Comcast Corporation (formerly called Comcast NBCUniversal).

How did Orlando Universal Resort come about?

The Orlando Universal Resort emerged from a partnership between companies and Universal Pictures. So, the brand wanted to expand even further and create something more immersive. In fact, one of the big names behind the idea was film director Steven Spielberg.

Overall, the resort's starting point was the opening of Universal Studios Florida on June 7, 1990. That's because this theme park brought the magic of cinema to life.

This allowed guests to delve deeper into sets and attractions based on popular Universal Pictures films.

The vision of expanding into the theme park sector led Universal Pictures to acquire land and create the Resort in the 1980s.

Therefore, the company invested in research, project creation and construction to create the theme parks, hotels and other areas that make up the resort complex, as already mentioned.

Express queue options

Universal Resort offers “express line” options that allow tourists to avoid regular lines at some attractions.

This way, you can purchase these passes as an extra to your standard ticket, which makes your visit more convenient and helps you save time for the attractions.

Vacation Packages

Orlando Resort offers vacation packages that include places to stay at one of its hotels and theme park tickets. Therefore, these packages can be an option for those planning to spend several days at the resort.

Single Rider Lines

Many attractions offer their own lines for those traveling alone, called “Single Rider Lines”.
