Anyone who has watched Harry Potter knows that Rubeus Hagrid is a much-loved character in the film and book series. With that, he won an attraction all of his own at Islands of Adventure, the Hagrid's Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure!

In the first film, entitled Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone, the character appears on a motorcycle, this one belonging to Sirius Black.
Big enough to house a half-giant and half-human, it's the equivalent of a Muggle motorcycle for the rest. However, for those who believe in magic, it is much more than that.
In this way, Universal, in 2019, launched a new attraction dedicated to this iconic character from the HP universe. Yes, Hagrid got a toy of his own! Even the famous motorcycle is what packs the whole toy.
Hagrid's Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure is a roller coaster that is located in the Harry Potter themed area (The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Hogsmeade), at Universal's Islands of Adventure.
What is Hagrid's roller coaster like?
If you like adventure, this is the attraction to go.
Hagrid's Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure is brand new to the park, opening to the public in June 2019, costing $300 million.
The roller coaster is the sixth HP-themed ride on Islands of Adventure.
And, of course, it promises a lot of fun and “butterflies in the stomach”, as it has speed (something around 80 km/h), launches and falls.
The attraction does, however, allow travelers to stroll through the Forbidden Forest, with more than 1,200 trees arranged along the route, see the ruins and perceive magical creatures in the distance through a ride on Hagrid's motorcycle.
In the world of HP, the Forbidden Forest is near Hagrid's hut and is where the professor, who teaches Care of Magical Creatures, teaches students about eggs and hatcheries, for example.
In the attraction, in the “real world”, you choose where you want to go: either on the motorcycle, like Hagrid, or in the adjacent cart, like Harry. Look how awesome!
During the tour, you will see some other remarkable characters in the Harry Potter saga, such as the three-headed dog, the Fluff, Cornish Pixies, from The Chamber of Secrets, Devil's Snare, the magical plant that strangles Ron Weasley in The Philosopher's Stone, and much more. most. It even has pumpkins and dragon eggs!
And, of course, a replica of the half-giant, almost 2.5 meters tall, that appears along the way!
Details of Hagrid's Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure
The roller coaster is considered the longest in Florida, at 1,540 meters. There are, in all, seven launches (a world record!) and a fall that make you feel adrenaline throughout the course.
This drop, in fact, makes Hagrid's Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure the first roller coaster with a vertical free fall, which makes you plummet for five meters.
At a certain point, you will also feel like you are on a catapult, in which you will be a few meters in the air (about 20, go!), at a 70 degree angle, and then you will be sent backwards. That's right, the cart comes in reverse!
The duration is only three minutes, but the desire to “repeat” the dose permeates for days, who knows, lol! It is the ideal toy for those who like to adventure and love the Harry Potter universe.
The setting is all based on the films in the series. However, you will specifically enter a scene from Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - Part 1, in which Hagrid has to flee with Harry through London.

Additional information and location on Islands
The minimum height allowed to enjoy the attraction is 1.21 meters.
As we said above, you, before venturing out, will have to decide which part of the car you want to go: on the motorcycle or in the sidecar. Those who want to feel like Hagrid will be on the right, so go in first.
As with other rides in the park, you can stay in the regular queue or in the single rider. It is also possible to use the Express, stay tuned.

Is it worth going on Hagrid's Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure?
Well, before saying yes and no, I'm going to tell you my experience with this attraction.
But I won't talk about the attraction itself because surely you already understand that it is amazing!
Well, when I went on Hagrid's roller coaster the first time, it had just opened. And like any good new attraction, the lines are huge!
Come on. We entered the park and went straight to the queue, and the queue was still at the entrance as the park lands were closed. When they opened, we were all walking through the crowd until the line began to form at the attraction.
The queue actually started for us at the Seuss landing!
In total, until we actually arrived at the attraction's cart, it took a little more than 4 hours, yes, 4 HOURS!
And I'll tell you, for us it was VERY worth it. The attraction is incredible and surprising.
Obviously if you only have 1 day at the park, staying 3, 4 hours at an attraction is not recommended, but in our opinion if you take up to 2 hours of queue at this attraction, it's worth it!
