Under the Sea: Magic Kingdom attraction

The Under the Sea: Journey of the Little Mermaid takes you to the story of the Little Mermaid. Along the way, you will be able to relive each of Ariel's most important moments.

This attraction is Magic kingdom, in the area known as Fantasyland. More precisely, you can find it next to Ariel's cave (Ariel's Grotto).

In fact, I recommend that you go to Under the Sea and then to the cave, because there you can find the character.

Undoubtedly, this pair of attractions is very dear to children and also to those who like the story of the Little Mermaid.

Under the Sea Features

Despite the name, the The Under the Sea it is not a water ride. Therefore, you can rest assured that you will not get wet.

Vehicles move along tracks, like a roller coaster. But, of course, without a high speed.

Through the tour and special effects, you will be taken to Ariel's story, from his life at sea to his meeting with Prince Eric. Therefore, this is one of the most beloved attractions for those who have the Little Mermaid as a favorite.

Under the Sea strollers fit 2 to 3 people

In addition to the visual stimuli, you will also be able to hear the soundtrack of the film. For each different scene, there is a corresponding song. For example, you will hear the classic song “Part of the World” right at the beginning of the tour.

The carts have a maximum of 3 seats. I say "maximum" because small children manage to go with their parents, but adults go only in pairs, due to the space.

How is the Under the Sea queue?

The scenography of this attraction's queue is incredible. In short, you will feel like entering a cave at the bottom of the sea. Therefore, you may hear water noises.

Regarding the public, know that this is a popular attraction. Although it seems "silly" to those who are older and don't like Ariel's story much, children and fans of the Little Mermaid love it.

For this reason, the queues are usually quite large, not as large as the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train roller coaster.

Therefore, I recommend that you have some strategy to save your visit time. Unfortunately, this attraction does not feature the single rider.

FastPass +

The FastPass + is the best way to save your time in Magic Kingdom and can be used in Under the Sea.

If you don't get to the park early, which is also an excellent strategy for not taking long lines, use FastPass + on this one ride.

How is the Under the Sea route?

As you can follow in the video above our youtube channel, at the beginning, you will receive a welcome from Sabidão, that seagull from the Little Mermaid movie. Then your adventure under the sea begins!

In fact, at that moment, be sure to look up! The projection of the sea is beautiful.

Soon after, you will be able to see Ariel singing “Part of Your World” with her great friend Linguado. Then, the classic music - which gives the attraction its name - can be heard, as several marine animals sing “Under The Sea”.

Then, you will arrive at Ursula's cave, which is protected by eels! The soundtrack of the moment is "Poor Unfortunate Souls" and you will see the villain doing the spell that gave Ariel legs. In addition, of course, to accompany the Mermaid's transition.

Already out of the sea, on land, follow Ariel and Eric's boat ride, with the song “Kiss the Girl”. Then, watch the couple's wedding and the fury of Ursula, who failed to disrupt Ariel's plans.

Finally, Eric, Ariel, Flounder, Sebastian and King Triton will say goodbye. In this part, the song “Part of Your World” plays instrumentally. In the projection, there will be fireworks, which make the end of the attraction even more exciting.

Attraction Music

One of Disney's most beautiful soundtracks is the Little Mermaid. So the attraction is very exciting, especially for those who have Ariel as their favorite princess.

In the dubbed film, we can see that even the songs are translated. In other words, you might want to relate the attraction's songs to those of the movie we know. Following the same sequence as Under the Sea, we have:

  • “Part of Your World”
  • "Under the Sea"
  • "Poor Unfortunate Souls"
  • "Kiss the Girl"

Get your Parks Tickets at a Discount

Many people leave to buy their tickets arriving in Orlando or even on the day of the park.

We do not in any way recommend that you do this for a variety of reasons, such as:

If you buy tickets on the spot, you won't be able to book your park days in advance at the risk of not even being able to enter a park on a given day.

You will lose valuable park minutes in line to buy your tickets.

AND MAINLY, you will pay more because tickets at the box office are more expensive than buying in advance!
