If you're like us, when we're getting close to the Christmas season, we like to watch Disney Christmas movies to get into the Christmas spirit!

So, we've compiled some of our favorite Disney Christmas movies and holiday specials.
I take the opportunity to point out that some of this list are available for free through streaming services such as Disney +, Netflix, Hulu or Amazon Prime, but not all!
We are not ashamed to admit that even today we watch old Disney movies and cartoons, it makes us go back to childhood!
By the way, even those we didn't watch in childhood, we like to watch!
Some of the movies on this list are obvious titles that every Disney fan has probably seen.
However, we've decided to add some deeper options that aren't commercially available or are just less generally known.
This is so that this list is different from all those you find on the internet.
As we said, not all the movies here are available on famous streams, if you don't find any on the list, be sure to let us know in the comments.
Although, now with the existence of Disney+, you will find a lot of Disney Christmas movies there.
So far, you can find more than 20 Christmas movies on Disney+.
The Disney+ Christmas movies that didn't make this list include multiple versions of "A Christmas Carol," a bunch of cheesy, made-for-television movies, as well as a bunch of titles included thanks to Disney's acquisition of 20th Century Fox.
We will not include in this list super famous movies like “Home Alone” and “Miracle on 34th Street”.
The reason is simple, that's because they were in no way associated with Disney in the first few decades of its existence.
Anyway, let's get to the list of our favorite Disney Christmas movies and specials.
Christmas at Disneyland
I can't help but get goosebumps watching the opening of this Walt Disney episode.
That alone guarantees this spot on the list.
It doesn't rank higher because so much of this episode of Walt Disney's World of Color has nothing to do with Christmas, but if you haven't seen many episodes of this yet, it's worth a watch.

It's actually a video promoting many Disneyland news under the guise of being a Christmas episode, and there's some excellent footage (for a 1962 shoot).
My only disappointment with Disney+ so far is the lack of this and other classic Walt Disney-hosted television programming (and some sing-a-longs as well).
Beauty and the Beast: The Enchanted Christmas
Come on, we're not big fans of this sequel. Mainly given that the Beautiful and the Beast is by far one of our favorite Disney cartoons.
Those who still don't know us very well can have a little idea of how we liked our video when I asked Nath to marry me, check it out here on youtube.
Let's face it, it's not a super movie.
However, it also features some beautiful scenery, familiar and beloved characters, and just enough Christmas cheer.
It's far from a classic, but Enchanted Christmas has its moments and it's worth putting it on the back burner while you're preparing a Christmas party.
From All of Us to All of You
It reminds me of a television version of World of Color.
It's not super awesome, but for many it can be very nostalgic.
I remember watching this movie several times when I was a kid.
According to Christmas Special Wiki: ?The special hasn't aired often in the US in recent years.
However, in several other countries around the world the film has been broadcast every year since 1959 and has become a worldwide Christmas classic.
It took me a fair amount of searching to find this complete episode, and it is no longer commercially available.
Still, not only does it air annually in other countries, but it's a true Christmas classic.

Christmas Eve on Sesame Street
Okay, you must be thinking I'm crazy because Sesame Street is not part of Disney, right?
However, when I was younger, I believed that Sesame Street was in the Disney family.
Therefore, we will include Sesame Street in this list!
This film is a heartbreaking tale of Big Bird getting baffled by how Santa Claus fits into chimneys, with lots of fun from Sesame Street residents along the way.
Mickey's Christmas Carol
This is one of Disney's true animated Christmas classics and it definitely deserves its spot on this list.
I particularly always liked Mickey's cartoons when I was younger.
Much of my childhood was spent watching everything from Mickey, cartoons, shorts and sing-a-longs songs (maybe the movie from disney that I watched the most when I was a kid).
Noelle
I will admit that I am being biased here.
I think Anna Kendrick and Bill Hader are really funny and Noelle was a big surprise and it's available on Disney+.
It's a children's movie and totally predictable.
However, Noelle is also a moving, humorous, serious and captivating film.
Unlike Netflix, which tackles more of the Christmas genre with movies you can laugh at, Noelle is a heartfelt, irresistible movie that you'll laugh too.
The Muppet Christmas Carol
This is the original and perhaps most faithful adaptation of “A Christmas Carol” by Dickens, which is surprising given that it stars the Muppets.
There are a number of reasons why The Muppet Christmas Carol makes this list.
The first is the expanding musical numbers, taking place in various settings and involving a variety of Muppets, with secondary characters stealing the spotlight.
Second are the performances of the three main characters: Gonzo, Rizzo the Rat and Michael Caine.
The Nightmare Before Christmas
Without a doubt one of my favorite movies on this list and maybe the only one I watch outside of Christmas periods.
And it definitely deserves to be on any Disney Christmas movie list!
It's a Disney musical that I love and its Christmas theme is amazing.
so amazing that the Haunted Mansion from Disneyland California is themed according to this film during the Christmas season.
If you haven't seen this movie yet, I highly recommend you watch it.
However, it's worth noting that despite being a Disney movie, it can be scary for young children.
Disney's Very Merry Christmas Sing-Along Songs
Well, maybe you were waiting for a different movie to close this Disney Christmas movie list.
I apologize if you were disappointed.
First of all, it's not actually a movie, it's a Disney sing-along.
Sing-a-longs are those videos in which we see several music clips with Disney characters in the background.
The reason he is at the top of my list is quite simple.
I watched this video pretty much my entire childhood.
Even when I was a little older, my sister who is 9 years younger than me loved this movie, so I watched this vhs tape many, many times with her.
I really love it and I must confess that I put it in the background while I was writing this post (sometimes even as these posts usually cost me a few hours to write and it only has 30 minutes).
If you've never seen it you may not feel the nostalgic factor that I do, however it is an iconic piece in Disney history and worth seeing.
Especially if you like American Christmas carols.

Disney Christmas Movies – Bonus
In addition to what's here, I'd give a few more honorable mentions:
The Magic Kingdom Yuletide Special – a show that reminds me a lot of “Celebrate the Season” mixed with a big dash of the 1980s.
Babes in Toyland – (although I'm not a fan, I recognize it has a place in Disney history and others love it).
I know there are countless other Disney Christmas specials that aren't on this list.
