The Memory maker it's the disney photo pack!
It includes all photos taken in Disney parks by photographers, videos and photos taken at some attractions in the parks.
There are three ways to use the Memory maker:
The first and most common is by Magic band.
If you are staying at one of the Disney hotels you will get one as soon as you check in.
However, if you are not staying in one of the hotels in the Complex, you can buy the Magic band at the box office or stores parks. Those with more affordable prices can be found in Disney stores in Outlets.
There is also a way to link the ticket in the form of a card with your My Disney Experience account.
And the last way is with the Memory Maker card, which you receive by exchanging the proof of purchase made on the internet at the exchange points. Exactly like we do with tickets.
At the Memory maker unlike Photopass, you don't pay to download each photo.
But yes, when you buy it you will be able to download all the photos and videos of your trip!
The ones that we think are the coolest without a doubt are those taken at attractions and with characters.
What is the value of Memory Maker? How can I buy it?
Memory Maker pricing starts at $169 + fees if you purchase within 3 days of using it. If you want to buy on the spot, the value increases to $199 + fees.
So remember that if you want to buy the photo pack already on the day of using it or the day before, you must pay the full price of $199 + fees.
However, it is better to plan to buy more than 3 days before your first day at the park.
Both Disney Photopass and Memory Maker photos are available for up to 45 days from the day the photo was taken online or through the My Disney Experience app.
Please note that it is possible to purchase the Memory Maker even after you have completed your trip. That's if you're still within that 45-day period.
To buy the package in advance (which we recommend), just access the Disney website.
Memory Maker a day?
A lot of people don't know, but there's the option to buy just one day of Memory Maker!
The value is around $69 + fees and you can only buy it through the My Disney Experience app.
A detail that ends up taking many people by surprise is to acquire this type of Memory maker is that you need to have at least one photo taken by the photographers, that is, when it is already available in the application.
This is a good option for those who want to save money and only go to a Disney park for one day.
Remembering that this type of Memory Maker cannot be purchased in advance.
Memory Maker on card
If you purchase your Memory Maker, you can pick up your card at any of the parks' ticket sales and/or Guest Relations points or at Disney Spring.
Simply present your proof of purchase and the card that was used on the spot (we recommend Disney springs).
Don't forget to link your Disney Photo Pack your account My disney experience.
That's because if you have a Magic band also linked, all photos that are registered on your bracelet will automatically go there.
Even if you buy your Memory Maker online already logged into your My Disney Experience account, it will already be connected to it.
So when you have your Magic Band, it will already be connected to your Disney Photo Pack.
Is it possible to split Memory Maker?
When traveling with a large group, you need to make sure that everyone is associated with the My Disney Experience account that purchased the photo package.
For this, you must connect through “Family and Friends” within the app.
So all photos that are registered both on the Magic Band and on the card of everyone in the group that is associated with the My Disney Experience account will have access to the Memory Maker photos and videos.
It is worth remembering that there is no need for everyone to be together to link the photos in Memory maker.
That is, each one can be in a park and there is no maximum number of people that can be linked to Memory.
However, do not share with people you don't know as this is against the service's guidelines.
We say this because there are some groups on the internet that disclose division between families to lower the cost. However, we repeat, this is not accepted and may have consequences.
Disney attractions photos and videos
The coolest photos end up being those taken inside the attractions are included in the Disney Photo Pack.
If you have the ticket card, just go through the photo machines when you leave the attraction.
It's very simple, just identify your photo that will be available on several screens at the exit of the attraction and put your card or magic band on the totem that will be right below it.
Some attractions can already identify the guest by the magic band! So you don't even need to scan at the attraction exit for your photo to go into your app.
It's automatic! This happens with the Tower of Terror videos and in the roller coaster Seven Dwarfs Mine Train (7 Dwarfs) at the Magic Kingdom.
As not all photos go straight to the My disney experience, We recommend doing it the same way as for those who have the card: Go to the photo machines and transfer it to your account.
If you purchase the Memory Maker package while hosted on a Disney hotel, it will already be linked to your Magic Band.
If you have purchased the package and are not staying at the Complex, you will need to go to a Guest Relation at the parks or at Disney Spring.
There they will associate your My Disney Experience account with your Magic Band.
