Islands of Adventure 2023 attractions
Velocoaster
Let's start this list with the park's most recent attraction. The incredible Velocicoaster roller coaster.
As its name suggests, it is a roller coaster inspired by the velociraptors of the most recent Jurrasic World films.
I'm a roller coaster lover and I've ridden them all and I have to confess that this is possibly the best roller coaster I've ever ridden in my life.
Everything about her is amazing!
It is worth mentioning that it is super radical, so if you are afraid of attractions like that, leave it out, otherwise it is a mandatory stop on your day!
Hagrid's Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure
This is the second most recent of the Islands of Adventure attractions. She really is amazing.
I remember the first time I rode it, we were close to the premiere and so we waited 4 hours in line to ride it, and it was still worth it!
According to herself Universal studios: “An epic new addition has come to the Wizarding World of Harry Potter ?. For the first time ever, fly deep into the forests of the Forbidden Forest, beyond the grounds of Hogwarts castle?…”
It is an attraction considered radical due to its speed and curves, but it does not have loopings.
The theme is pretty cool especially for those who like the Universe of Harry Potter.
Harry Potter and The Forbidden Journey
In this Islands of Adventure attraction you will take a tour of the castle of Hogwarts, in the students' classrooms and even through Dumbledore's office, you will see the stairs with the talking boards and other parts of the films.
On Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey you will be fully immersed in the universe Harry Potter, defending against the dementors in the simulator, as well as participating in a fantastic Quidditch game.
The attraction is one of the most unmissable for all visitors to the Islands of Adventure, even though I'm not a fan of the movie.
If the queue is too long and you don't mind doing the attraction with an unknown group, there is the queue option single rider, where you go as you fit into a cart that has room left over.
As much as it is faster, the normal queue has many details that end up being worth waiting a little longer, especially if you are a fan of the books and movies.
Hogsmeade and Hogwarts Castle
The little town of Hogsmeade It's identical to what you see in the movies. Universal Studios has outdone themselves in creating this area as the amount of detail is truly breathtaking.
In addition to the castle and the area itself, there are several shops and restaurants that you can enjoy there, such as Três Vassouras, which is often mentioned in books.
If you go to the bathroom in this area, you can even hear Myrtle moaning.
Jurassic Park River Adventure
the attraction of Jurassic Park River Adventure is a must-see attraction for fans of the Jurassic Park movies.
It starts out as a leisurely ride where you can see several dinosaurs from the movies.
In the middle of the attraction, things start to go wrong and you'll be chased by velociraptors and a T-Rex.
It is worth mentioning that you will be very wet in this attraction so give preference here on hot days.
The Amazing Adventures of Spider Man
This is without a doubt one of the best attractions at Islands of Adventure!
It is one of the oldest simulators, but it was updated a few years ago. Even though it's relatively old, it's still one of my favorites!

Accompany Spider-Man in this super adventure in 3D, where he will face the villains who stole the Statue of Liberty, climbing the skyscrapers of New York, jumping in the streets and of course, a few falls.
The simulator greatly attracts fans of the heroes who visit the Islands of Adventure.
If you like 3D effects, you cannot miss this attraction.
Be aware that this simulator rotates a lot, so if you don't like closed environments and a lot of movement, it might be better not to do this attraction.
It is noteworthy that this is one of the attractions that has single rider, so it turns out to be interesting for those who want to save time in queues and enjoy the park better.
The Incredible Hulk Coaster
It is one of the roller coasters that is at the top of the list of visitors to Orlando.
This attraction is completely based on the Incredible Hulk and was completely rebuilt a few years ago and is still fantastic!
Her catapult reaches 100 km/h with a zero-degree gravity inversion, after which the speed only tends to increase!
In total, we have seven inversions that undoubtedly make everyone feel like the Hulk himself.
It's really worth going to Hulk roller coaster, even if only for once.
Other Attractions at Islands of Adventure
We will now talk about the other attractions of Islands of Adventure.
Does that mean they are bad? Not!
Not at all, the issue here is that some of them are specific for very young children or do not provide anything very different from what we find in more generic theme parks.
But they will still be fun for many visitors, especially for those who like their specific theme.
Pteranodon Flyers
This is a really cool attraction for kids up to 12 years old.
The Ptenarodon Flyers is a type of cable car that flies over the entire area dedicated to Jurassic Park.
For kids who like heights, it's a very good option!
Too bad it's only valid for those aged up to 12, but calm down, if there are any children in your group, you can accompany them on the attraction.
Skull Island: Reign of Kong
It is one of the Islands of Adventure attractions that involves you from the queue, with many surprises and the great meeting with the King Kong.
Visitors are only reassured when they return to the starting point. It's adrenaline for sure.
Jurassic Camp
One of the playgrounds scattered around the Islands of Adventure, in it children can have a lot of fun!
Children will be able to enjoy every corner of the prehistoric forest full of caves, animals, volcanoes and many cool things to enjoy their time and rest.
It's a great way to entertain the kids without having to queue up and let them waste a lot of energy.
Popeye & Bluto`s Bilge-Rat Barges
One of the funniest attractions in the park. You will laugh a lot at the crowd getting wet in your boat.
It's impossible not to get very wet from this attraction!
We recommend taking flip flops and other dry clothes in your backpack, or even taking a raincoat. This will help you to feel comfortable after you get out of the very wet Popeye & Bluto`s Bilge-Rat Barges.
This way you guarantee that you won't get wet all day.
For those who like to cool off during the day and water attractions, be sure to go to this attraction.
In summer it usually has long queues and in winter, queues are non-existent.
The Me Ship, The Olive
Another playground that is scattered around the Islands of Adventure, where you can find some water cannons that can be fired by visitors who are passing by the attraction that we will talk about below.
Dudley Do-Right's Ripsaw Falls
It's a boat ride through several scenarios of some cartoons present in the attraction.
We highly recommend it for warmer days and for those who like water toys.
The Dudley Do-Right's Ripsaw Falls is one of the best water attractions within the Orlando theme parks.
So you already know, right? Prepare to get wet! This is one of the many attractions that you have the option to go Single rider, but as it is a toy that gets wet, it ends up being much nicer to go with someone.
Flight of the Hippogriff
It is a beginner roller coaster in the area dedicated to the Harry Potter films.
She's perfect for those who don't like extreme toys or those with children. It ends up being a good choice for anyone who wants to see the area from above.
Hogwarts express
The famous Hogwarts train which takes aspiring witches to the famous school of magic.
And just like in the movies and books, the train connects King's Cross station in London at Universal Studios to Hogsmeade and Hogwarts at Islands of Adventure.
It is important to point out that to ride the train, you need the ticket park explorer that gives access to both parks on the same day.
Be sure to do both routes aboard the Hogwarts Express, the trip is different on the way out and back.
The Cat in the Hat
This attraction was inspired by the famous book by Dr. Seuss.
So, you will go through several scenes of adventure of the Cat and the Thing's.
By the way, here's some important information: you may not know the characters in Dr. Seuss.
But this is a very fun attraction, especially for younger children.
Dear-Seuss-el
A playground isn't a playground without a carousel, right?! Therefore, the Caro-Seuss-el draws a lot of attention from children, especially for its colors.
The attraction is in the middle of the Seuss landing and it's impossible not to see.
Each of the "horses" they are different colorful and very detailed characters.
If your child goes to Caro-Seuss-el, you can stand next to him, as the speed of the attraction is not high.
One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish
This attraction is a very common attraction in Orlando parks.
It's a flying carousel, similar to the classic Dumbo attraction at Disney.
However, instead of flying in Dumbo, in One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish the vehicles are fish.
Like all attractions in the area, this one also features rich details and very striking colors.
The fish also squirt water to the rhythm of the soundtrack, but nothing that can get you too wet.
The High in the Sky Seuss Trolley Train Ride!
This is a very peaceful walk over the area of Dr. Seuss.
The idea is very similar to Disney's Peoplemover. A suspended train that passes through different regions of the park.
You can even go inside one of the local restaurants, the Circus McGurkus Cafe Stoo-pendous.
In this attraction you will have a different view of coffee and that's pretty cool!
If I Ran the Zoo
Another playground found by Islands of Adventure.
In this attraction, children will be able to imagine that they are running a zoo.
It is a very cute and fun playground for young children.
