We think that an island paradise should have three things: sun, sand and lots of palm trees. Good news: no Loews Royal Pacific Resort at Universal Orlando Resort you'll find all three, plus much more.

This is your chance to enjoy a South Sea vacation without sailing around the world.

Feel the thrill of a time when adventurous travelers first set out for the South Pacific.

Since we're located on Universal Orlando's grounds, and all guests receive exclusive theme park benefits, the thrills couldn't be closer.

The Loews Royal Pacific Resort at Universal Orlando truly is a tropical paradise that offers so much more than you could ever imagine.

In addition, it offers a privileged location, right next to the parks of Universal (5 minutes walk) and citywalk.

Most tourists, when they think of a hotel in Orlando, immediately think of some Disney Hotel or a cheaper hotel on International Drive.

We have had the pleasure of staying in some Disney hotels, and this was our first experience at a Universal hotel.

I have to say, I am VERY positively surprised by the experience we had there.

It is valid to say that on this same trip in 2019, we stayed in 3 hotels, the Disney's Art of Animation, the Loews Royal Pacific and The Grove Resort Orlando.

So we have a good comparative basis to bring you in all the reviews.

One thing worth mentioning is, unfortunately, our stay at Loews was very busy and we got a lot of rain every day, so we couldn't do the tour due to the hotel.

Below is an example photo of the 2 of us soaking in the hotel elevator on our first day!

But we will show and talk about everything we enjoyed there.

Below we'll talk a little bit about what you can find there:

Rooms at Loews Royal Pacific Resort

Well, let's start with something that was amazing! The room is really beautiful, luxurious and comfortable in the right measure.

Without excess of extravagance and with an excellent space for everything. In terms of room comfort, this hotel deserves a thousand!

But why talk if we can show a little bit of how beautiful he is in the images below:

Also, we love the bathroom that has a big mirror and a good spot for ladies who like to put on makeup! Nath loved it!

Another important thing to know is that you can get 2 different views, one facing the parks and one facing the back of the hotel! We took it to the back and were a little disappointed.

Why would we love to wake up and already look at the Doctor Doom's FearFall! But I have to say that the view from the back of the hotel is also quite beautiful!

Family Activities at the Hotel

Loews Royal Pacific Resort Pools

The Royal Pacific has a huge lagoon-style pool that is packed with families from morning until closing.

There is an impressive interactive play area, Royal Bali Sea, which looks like part of an old ocean liner, attached to the main pool.

There always seemed to be some kind of impromptu activity in the pool.

When we arrived there was a group of kids playing water volleyball.

Scheduled activities take place throughout the day, and in the evenings as well, including arts and crafts, water games and diving. films.

If you're tired of the pool, there are two hot tubs, a volleyball court, a croquet lawn, shuffleboard, ping pong, and cabana rentals.

There is also a games room located next to the pool which is open until midnight, although while we were there it didn't seem to attract many kids which to me is great as I love these Hotel arcades.

In fact, I always go to meet and usually make friends there.

One of the perks of staying at one of Universal's Loews is that you have access to facilities at all three Universal Hotels from Citiwalk: this one, Hard Rock and Portofino Bay. So, you can use the pools of either.

torch lighting

Every night at the pool there was a torch lighting ceremony.

It was an unexpected Hawaiian ritual, which included very authentic singing and a fire dancer.

These are the special touches that really make the whole experience worthwhile.

Mariners Club

Loews Royal Pacific has a supervised kids' club open in the evenings, Mariners Club, for children ages 4 to 14.

There are arts and crafts, history, computers, as well as video games and board games.

It's small, designed as a place for parents to drop off their kids and have a night out, not a full day.

Kids can eat there for US $ 15 per meal.

It is open from 17:00 to 23:30, from Sunday to Thursday and from 17:00. at midnight on Fridays and Saturdays.

The hotel's concierge can arrange babysitting services in the area.

The groove

We saw a lot of teenagers at Royal Pacific.

There are alcohol-free teen nights held a few nights a week at The Groove, a nightclub in CityWalk complex.

Admission is US $ 10 to US $ 15 and photo ID is required.

Thematic parks

Universal's two theme parks, the Universal studios and the Island of Adventure. Both 10 minutes walk from the hotel or 5 minutes by water taxi.

Families love attractions like Shrek 4-D, Simpsons and the Revenge of the Mummy it's the Diagon Alley of Harry Potter.

Universal's other park, Island of Adventure, is home to Hogsmeade and the imposing Hogwarts castle.

There you can also find the Marvel Super Hero Island, land of Jurassic Park and the very cute Seuss Landing by Dr. Seuss.

Planning & Tips for Loews Royal Pacific Resort

The biggest advantage of staying at one of the three Loews hotels is the proximity to the parks, and more importantly, the fact that you can skip the lines at the parks.

This is because those who stay in these hotels are entitled to Universal Express Pass.

Different from fastPass + from disney, the Universal Express Pass allows you to skip the line at all available attractions multiple times.

It ends up being an incredible advantage for the busiest days.

Your room key doubles as an Express Pass and allows you to bypass the lines on nearly all Universal Studios and Island of Adventure rides.

This is worth almost $90/day per person.

What's more, your stay at any of the Loews also gives you an hour's early entry into Island of Adventure which gives you an excellent head start on a number of attractions.

They offer everything from massage and facials to full body, hair and nail treatments, as well as his and her type steam saunas.

There is free Wi-Fi in the lobby, but there is a fee of US $ 10/day to connect in the room.

There is no transport from the hotel to the Orlando International Airport to the hotel.

If you want to take a bus, try Mears, which has reasonable rates and a good safety record.

If driving, take I-4 and get off at Kirkman Road./Highway 435 and follow signs for Universal.

If you're staying at any of Loews Universal's hotels, you'll have a free shuttle service (either by water taxi or bus) between the resorts, theme parks and CityWalk.

Water taxis are the most fun, but they also take longer.

Food at Loews Royal Pacific Resort

Islands Dining Room

The main dining room is the most family-friendly place to eat.

It's a casual Indonesian-style dining room that serves three meals a day and has plenty of kid-friendly dining options.

There is also an unattractive play area for children.

There are huge glass windows that bring in the morning light, making it a cheerful place to come for the lunch buffet.

There is a small outdoor patio, open weather permitting, and live entertainment on some nights.

Tchoup chop

For better food, try Emeril's Tchoup Chop restaurant, which has Asian and Polynesian dishes such as steamed pork and Asian vegetables, fried rice with edamame, as well as a small selection of sushi.

The restaurant is open and airy with bamboo and great Feng Shui.

You will have amazing food and wonderfully attentive waiters.

Tchoup Chop also serves a three-course Sunday brunch with a box of keiki (fruit, eggroll breakfast, and French toast) for kids 12 and under.

Orchid Court Sushi Bar

The hotel's newest restaurant is open in the evenings for sushi and sashimi.

Next door is the Orchid Court Lounge, which is more like part of the lobby than a true lounge, and serves continental breakfast and coffee each morning.

Jake's American Bar at Loews Royal Pacific Resort.

Jake's American Bar

A casual atmosphere with bar food, burgers and salads is ideal for big eaters because of their extra-large portions.

Bula Bar & Grille

Located by the pool, Bula offers quick bites like wraps and burgers, as well as a selection of tropical drinks; and Bula Ice Cream Shop has ice cream, frozen yogurt, ice cream and Starbucks coffee.

If you're looking for something really different and memorable, try the Luau on Saturdays (and Tuesday nights seasonally).

There are fire eaters, live Hawaiian music, hula dancers and a huge buffet with suckling pig, seafood, pineapple pork and fruit.

There is also a separate buffet for children. It's definitely pricey, but remember you're getting a show along with your dinner, and the cost includes soda, wine, and beer.

In addition to the restaurants mentioned above, room service is available 24 hours a day.

Well, the atmosphere of the hotel is incredible and the details of its theme are really incredible!

Upon arrival by car, you will leave your bags and walk across the bridge with several details of frog musicians on the sides! (photos below).

Until arrival at the amazing reception lobby (pictured above).

All the service, from the reception to the staff walking in the lobby, everyone is very friendly and ready to help.

Really something of a level well above what we normally find in the parks of the Universal studios.
