Legoland is a LEGO® theme park that is present in several locations around the world, as well as in Florida.

Orlando's Legoland opened in October 2011 and isn't exactly in Orlando.

In fact, if you're in Orlando, you'll have to drive about an hour and a half to get to the park, as it's in Winter Haven.

The park's inspiration comes from the toys LEGO®, which are very popular with children all over the world.

Despite this, the park is operated through Merlin Entertainments, a British company.

First of all, remember that Legoland is a playground, suitable for children from 2 to 12 years old.

However, now we come back with a detailed view of the park.

So that you can include Legoland in your list of parks, we have prepared a complete guide.

The information corresponds to the year of 2022, in a scenario of resumption of activities after the pandemic.

How to get to Legoland

First, remember that the park is not in Orlando.

However, like Busch Gardens, it can be included in your travel planning.

Also know that there are 2 Legoland parks, as well as Epcot and Magic Kingdom Disney, for example. They are the Legoland Florida Resort it's the Legoland Water Park.

opening hours

Both parks are open every day and follow the same hours:

Monday to Friday: 10 am to 5 pm;
Saturday and Sunday: 10 am to 6 pm.

How Much Does Legoland Cost in 2022

First, decide whether your visit will be in just one or both of Legoland's parks.

Then think about how many days you're going to set aside for the world of Lego.

In addition, an important information is that, until now, you must schedule your trip to the park through the official site.

Because, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, some restriction measures are being taken.

Legoland's water park has some fun attractions, but not as many as Blizzard beach or the Typhoon Lagoon.

One of the highlights is the Twin Chasers, a respectable waterslide, suitable for older children and teenagers.

Another interesting water slide is the Splash Out, which has three ?runs? many different.

Does Legoland have its own hotel?

Yea! Like Disney, Legoland also has 3 themed hotels.

Pirate Island Hotel

You might feel like a pirate if you choose to stay at this hotel. In turn, package prices range from US$ 77.67 to US$ 220 per person.

LEGOLAND® Hotel

At this hotel, you can learn even more about LEGO® characters! For this, pay between US$74.33 and US$ 215 per person.

If you want to know more about LEGOLAND® Hotel, enter official site.

Beach retreat

In this accommodation option, you can relax in a beach retreat! However, the prices are the most expensive of the trio of hotels and vary between US$ 79.33 and US$ 222.50 per person.

However, it is worth knowing more about the Beach Retreat. For that, click here.

What is it like to stay at Legoland Resort?

Kids love the decor, of course. The rooms are very beautiful and with many LEGO toys scattered around the place.

Everything follows a very interesting quality standard.

For adults, the place is also good.

The bed is of good quality, the facilities are nice and the breakfast is delicious.

Other meals need to be purchased from local restaurants and overall the food is good.

Of course, they are not meals for high chefs, but there is always a pleasant option for every type of palate.

Legolando Orlando Resort Hotel
Legolando Orlando Resort Hotel

Prices are slightly above the standard set by Disney.

For example, the most expensive room in the Pop century costs about $240 dollars, depending on the season.

The themed room at Legoland costs $280.

It's a little more expensive than Disney's budget hotels (and a lot more expensive than Orlando's non-themed options, of course), but it's not overpriced either.

Is it worth going to Legoland Orlando?

Is it worth setting aside a day or more in your planning to go to Legoland Orlando?

People always say "it depends", but it's true. It mainly depends on your tourist profile.

Come on: Legoland attractions are not for adults. Most of them don't even allow adults to participate, other than helping small children.

So if you're traveling alone or as an adult, it's not worth going to Legoland anyway, although LEGO exhibits are cool for all ages.

Legoland Orlando
Legoland Orlando

If you have kids, Legoland might be interesting, especially if your kids enjoy creating and building things. All activities are focused on this.

The water park is a little more ?generic? and, despite having more radical attractions, it loses in comparison to other Orlando water parks.

So the big draw is the theme park's LEGO focus. If your kids don't like this kind of play then it's not worth going.

How Legoland is emptier than the Disney parks or Universal, it's not worth staying at the Legoland Resort.

You can wake up early, get ready in Orlando and drive to Tampa (it's an hour away, more or less) and then back to your hotel.

summing up

Legoland is worth it for those who have children who like LEGO or enjoy building and creating games. For other people, it's not worth spending 1 day on the trip, as there are better options at Disney parks.
