The park's dinosaur attraction Animal kingdom It's one of those that you should include in your itinerary for the park.

In our opinion, it's pretty cool for the family, although it can be a little scary for younger children due to the fact that it's very dark and the stroller wobbles a lot.

In this post we are going to talk about this jurassic attraction of Animal kingdom with more details. Let's check...

We always recommend it to all of our custom script, to take a look at the attractions that may be a problem for those traveling with children.

We even showed it in our Youtube channel! So check it out below quickly =)

Dinosaur is scary

DINOSAUR is not for those who have had problems with other Disney World attractions.

If the Haunted mansion Or the Tower of Terror caused so much anxiety that the kids were fretting and whining during the process, consider skipping Dinosaur.

Also, don't visit this attraction early in the day if your child is prone to fear or is easily agitated.

You can “turn them off” for the rest of the day, and they will be apprehensive about riding on other attractions, no matter how peaceful they are, this is a report we've heard from several people traveling with smaller children.

The atmosphere the ride creates is one of danger, panic and pure terror as riders try to avoid meteors, dinosaurs and ultimately their own extinction.

For some reason, they also sent you back in time during a meteor shower in a roofless vehicle.

The journey is pretty hectic and fast and there is little time to stop and remind your youngster that they are safe.

The dinosaur in Animal Kingdom is also much more "aggressive" in terms of movement than the Test Track at Epcot or other comparable toys, and you might think twice if you risk injuring your back or neck.

Most adults and older children will enjoy the ride, or at least not be scared during it.

history of attraction

DINOSAUR opened at the park on April 22, 1998, with a track and high-tech vehicles at Disneyland's Indiana Jones Adventure: Temple of the Forbidden Eye, which opened on March 4, 1995.

At that time, DINOSAUR was known as Countdown to Extinction.

In 2000, the attraction's name was changed to DINOSAUR to complement the Disney film of the same name.

Dinosaur queue

The inside queue begins upon entering the Dino Institute, where guests walk past displays and giant dinosaur skeletons before entering a pre-show theater.

During the pre-show film presented by Dr. Marsh, you learn about your time travel from the early Cretaceous Period.

Then Dr. Seeker interrupts and informs the guests that he has changed their destination to the Late Cretaceous period so that they can bring back an Iguanodon (the film's main character, named Aladar).

The problem? Guests will travel back in time just before the giant asteroid that killed the dinosaurs hit the earth! But don't worry, because Dr. Seeker is confident that everything will be fine.

The cool thing about knowing the story beforehand is that if you don't know English or you have someone in your group who doesn't understand English, you can tell them exactly what's going on.

From the theater, you will proceed down a hallway and then down the stairs to the loading area to board the Time Rover.

Dinosaur attraction vehicles

DINOSAUR's ride vehicles are the "Time Rovers", which are big, clumsy, time-travelling jeeps.

Each Time Rover accommodates 12 people with 4 people per row.

Each seat is lightly padded and has an individual seat belt similar to a car seat belt. There is also a bar for you to hold, in front of you, due to the sudden movements of the vehicle.

Finally, to board, guests must take a small step into the tour vehicle.

Best time of day to go Dinosaur

As always, the best time to ride an attraction is first thing in the morning or later in the day.

However, due to the popularity of the park's other main attractions (read Flight of Passage or Everest Expedition), these specific times of day might be better spent elsewhere.

To make it easier, we have included a table with the capacity and their respective schedules. And if you're still in doubt about which is the best time to travel to Disney, be sure to check our post.
