The opening of Disneyland in Shanghai on May 11 was confirmed with a limited capacity for reservations and temperature screening. Bob Chapek (New Disney CEO) says the other Disney parks will follow the same protocol when reopening!
Finally good news and official news regarding the reopening of the Disney parks, even though we still haven't heard from Orlando.
Due to the COVID-19 outbreak in China, the Shanghai Disney Resort It has been closed since the end of January.
Today it was announced that Shanghai Disneyland would reopen on May 11.
The reopening will take into account the capacity of guests, as well as health and prevention procedures that meet state and federal guidelines.
Over the past few weeks, we've seen various forms of testing going on at the resort, from the return of the characters' dinner, to new seating guidelines at shows and theaters, as well as newly installed temporary lines with floor markings to establish social distance.
Shanghai Disneyland is also where we saw expanded use of Health QR and temperature checks; with only those showing normal temperatures and a permitted green QR code.
Visitors will need to make reservations before the visit in order for the resort to limit and control the number of visitors to the park.
There are currently no further details available on how the booking process works.
The reopening of Shanghai Disneyland is generally seen as a kind of test for other Disney parks to follow, and we are likely to see similar social distance measures to enter parks and attractions, restaurants and shows when the parks reopen.

Get your Parks Tickets at a Discount
Many people leave to buy their tickets arriving in Orlando or even on the day of the park.
We do not in any way recommend that you do this for a variety of reasons, such as:
If you buy tickets on the spot, you won't be able to book your park days in advance at the risk of not even being able to enter a park on a given day.
You will lose valuable park minutes in line to buy your tickets.
AND MAINLY, you will pay more because tickets at the box office are more expensive than buying in advance!
