The Universal CityWalk Orlando is the self-proclaimed epicenter of Orlando fun. We agree that there are many things to do there and we'll check them all out here!

Let's follow this post for you to draw your conclusions!

There is so much to do and see here that you could easily spend a few hours just exploring the area.

What a great way to add to your already amazing visit to universal parks Orlando Resort!

CityWalk is a starting point, whether you're getting the most out of an adults-only trip or you're there with the whole family.

In this handy guide, I'll show you all the great restaurants, shopping and entertainment you can find in Universal CityWalk Orlando.

Nath Departed Disney Parks at CityWalk
Nath Departed Disney Parks at CityWalk

Location of Citywalk Orlando

This dining, shopping and entertainment hub is located right in the heart of the Island of adventure It's from Universal Studios Florida.

At address: 6000 Universal Blvd, Orlando, FL 32819, United States

This means you can easily get out of parks to eat something and then continue riding the roller coasters!

We also recommend CityWalk to enjoy a nice relaxing meal or window shop before heading back to your hotel.

We love that it provides a little break and change of scenery, as well as a killer food selection.

CityWalk is also great because it's not too spread out, on the contrary, everything is concentrated in the same place!

Citywalk Orlando
Citywalk Orlando

There's plenty to do in a relatively condensed area without feeling crowded, so you don't have to walk far.

Usually, we are tired of walking around the parks all day! So the fact that everything is so close becomes a big advantage.

For those staying onsite at a Universal Orlando hotel, it's easy to make CityWalk part of your day.

If you are staying at Universal's Lowes Sapphire Falls Resort in Lowes Royal Pacific Resort, Lowes Portofino Bay Hotel or Universal's Hard Rock Hotel, your theme park water taxi will drop you right in the middle of CityWalk Orlando.

Who accompanied us on Instagram and youtube when we stayed at the Lowes Royal Pacific Resort you saw how much we enjoyed Citywalk.

Mainly because we decided not to use the car on those days.

For Guests of Universal's Cabana Bay Beach Resort Hotel and Universal's Endless Summer Resort – Surfside Inn and Suites, you will have to take a Universal bus.

Parking at Universal CityWalk Orlando

Parking at Universal is quite straightforward, as Universal and Island theme parks, Volcano Bay (Universal's water park) and CityWalk share the same two main parking garages.

Citywalk Parking
Citywalk Orlando Parking

Once parked, simply follow the signs towards the security center you pass through before entering CityWalk and the theme parks.

There are a few different options you can use to get a seat at Universal CityWalk:

General

The lowest-cost all-day option, general parking can put you anywhere between a 5- to 20-minute walk from the security center.

Arriving in the morning or later gives you a good chance of getting a solid point. The Price has varied a lot in recent months, so be prepared to leave around $25 in this mode.

preferred

Preferred parking ensures a more convenient parking space than is currently available for general parking.

This still leaves some variation on where you can park, but it definitely cuts down on walking time.

Buses and Vans

Larger vehicles have a parking area completely separate from the main garages – follow the signs to get to the right place!

Parking for these costs only US $ 5 more than parking in general.

Free Parking at Citywalk

Someone said ? free ?!

During low season, parking after 6 pm is free at Universal.

During the busiest times of the year, you'll even find discounted rates.

If you're visiting Orlando for other attractions and just want to make a brief CityWalk appearance, this is the best time.

Save that money and buy a souvenir! Keep in mind that this is not the case during special events such as Halloween Horror Nights..

valet

With two different prices (two hours and less or more than two hours), valet certainly has its advantages.

You will be parked in a separate area very close to the CityWalk entrance and directed to a less crowded security station.

Red Carpet Valet

The red carpet valet includes all the perks of the regular valet, with even closer parking and the promise that your car will be delivered in five minutes or less.

Even better?

You cut the queue and avoid the wait.

For those who are well ($$) it is a great time and distance saver.

Orlando Citywalk Parking Tip

CityWalk Parking
CityWalk Parking

Write down the parking section and queue number (for example, ET 415).

Don't trust your memory, especially after a long day of shopping and eating!

Even because the parking lots are huge and you can waste a lot of time with it.

Another big mistake newbies make is not paying attention to which garage they go back to when they leave Universal.

When you arrive at the security hub, it's important to look for the signs and take the proper path towards the designated section.

Since the two garages don't connect, you might end up driving around in circles looking for your car.

Citywalk Parking
Citywalk Parking

Is it too much information to park?

Do not worry! Going by Uber or taxi or whoever you want is also an option.

Proceed to the bus parking lot to be dropped off (Guest Drop off) – take the escalators and follow the signs to reach the entrance.

The advantage of combined parking between the Universal StuGods Florida, Islands of Adventure, Volcano Bay and CityWalk is that you don't have to drive between Universal destinations if you want to switch.

However, if you're wandering around Orlando properties, just keep your receipt and re-enter at no additional cost at the end of the day.

Universal CityWalk Orlando Restaurants

If you thought there was too much information for parking, get ready for the restaurant section.

CityWalk Orlando's restaurants offer nearly every cuisine imaginable for a great experience with your group.

Whether you're craving a healthy burger or exotic cuisine, you're sure to find a place to suit your needs. Making a great addition to your travel itinerary.

Bigfire

Bigfire is the newest addition to the CityWalk lineup of incredibly impressive restaurants.

It gives off great rustic, outdoorsy vibes, like you're hanging out with friends and family at a lakeside summer cottage.

American cuisine like burgers and steaks are given the open kitchen treatment with smoky smells and flavors. Be sure to leave room for the s'mores at dessert time!

Bubba Gump Shrimp Co.

One of the great favorites of Brazilians at Citywalk Orlando.

“Run, Forrest, run!” For this home of Southern favorites, just like Mom makes them.

Jimmy Buffett's Margaritaville

There's no better way to get into the laid-back Florida spirit than over drinks at Margaritaville.

Jimmy Buffett's restaurant is known for stacked burgers and frozen tropical drinks.

Jimmy Buffett's Margaritaville - Citywalk Orlando

Stop by the Margaritas drink window to Go Surf Shack for an on-the-fly marg or pop in for tropical dining and live music.

This is one of the best options for groups of adults who want to enjoy a relaxed atmosphere with good drinks around here.

NBC Sports Grill & Brew

Of all the restaurants at Universal CityWalk, if I had to recommend one restaurant for a large family with different tastes, it would be NBC Sports Grill & Brew.

This restaurant has a huge menu with a taste for everyone ? from towering burgers to Caribbean Mahi, pasta and everything in between.

Portions are generous and prices are reasonable.

NBC Sports Grill & Brew is an absolute winner if you're looking for an easy meal.

Pat O'Brien

Transport yourself to New Orleans at Pat O'Briens, where Cajun dishes are served while dueling pianos are played.

Pat O'Brien - Citywalk Orlando

Don't forget to order langoustines or a Sweet Bag of Beignets for an authentic Louisiana-style meal.

The Cowfish Sushi Burger Bar

You won't find a more unique restaurant at Universal CityWalk than The Cowfish Sushi Burger Bar.

Where else can you find a sushi burger combo?!

This Asian-American fusion restaurant has an excellent selection of burgers, delicious sushi and many combinations of the two.

One of Citywalk's hidden gems! It's really worth a meal there whether it's lunch or dinner!

The Toothsome Chocolate Emporium

At the Toothsome, the portions are big and the taste is even bigger!

Described as a restaurant, drink and pastry shop ? what more could you ask for? Toothsome boasts rich, indulgent dishes, from Chicken Bourguignon to apple pie crepes.

The Toothsome Chocolate Emporium
The Toothsome Chocolate Emporium

This 19th-century steampunk-themed restaurant also offers outrageous variety (in the best possible way!)

From milkshakes or sweets from the confectioner. This is one of our favorites at Citywalk Orlando and it really surprised us on our last trip! I had a risotto and Nath a hamburger and both were delicious!

The weather is wonderful and the price of the food is super fair! We've even shown you what it's like to have dinner there on our youtube channel!

VIVO Italian Kitchen

For a contemporary twist on Italian cuisine, stop for dinner at VIVO Italian Kitchen.

Warm pizza, pasta, bread and of course vino (wine) are sure to satisfy your taste buds.

Fast Food in CityWalk Orlando

If you just want a quick bite to eat or are on a budget, Universal CityWalk has plenty of options as well.

It can be a great break from holiday overload and overeating.

You can choose from the district's unique quick service restaurants or find your favorite fast food chain.

Voodoo Donut

Good things certainly come in pink boxes.

This quirky bakery serves over 50 unique fresh cakes daily.

Coming from Portland, Oregon, we feel very lucky that the Voodoo Donut arrived at Universal CityWalk Orlando, the first and only location (so far) on the East Coast!

Voodoo-Donut-at-Universal-CityWalk

Indulge in a triple chocolate donut topped with cocoa puffs or opt for the vegan take on classic donut flavors.

Just entering this store will make you want to eat a Donut!

Red Oven Pizza Bakery

Another place Nath and I love!

We ordered a takeaway pizza to eat at the hotel and my regret was not taking 2!

Simply delicious and well thought out!

Whether enjoying your meal on the covered patio or window to go, Red Oven Pizza Bakery will surely satisfy your pizza craving with its inventive range of pizzas.

The best part?

They cook in 90 seconds or less, so you can quickly get on with your ride!

Bread Box Handcrafted Sandwiches

This is no ordinary diner. Bread Box offers truly gourmet hot and cold options.

My personal favorite is the Veggie Melt with Portobello mushrooms, avocado, caramelized onions, Swiss cheese, arugula, truffle oil and basil pesto.

At a great price, this is a great low-key spot to feed your whole family.

Hot Dog Hall of Fame

The Hot Dog Hall of Fame it's probably Universal Orlando's most exclusive budget restaurant.

Even the name says it all – this spot offers a homemade range of hot dogs inspired by local favorites like the “Washington” which features coleslaw, buffalo sauce, blue cheese sauce and salt. of celery.

Its theme is on par with the tasty dogs, plus stadium-style seating, artificial grass, and bleachers!

We have to say that this is a great opportunity to eat a wonderful dogão in Orlando. We ate there one day, lunch was affordable and the hot dog was delicious!

Fusion Bistro Sushi and Sake Bar

Located on the second floor above the cinema, this bistro can be easy to miss, but now you know where to look.

When you don't want to wait for a table at Cowfish, this is an amazing option.

Burger King Whopper Bar - Citywalk

If you just want something tested, CityWalk also has a number of restaurants that you're probably already familiar with, including:

Burger King Whopper Bar : Burger King takes the ?Do It Your Way? to a whole new level in the Whopper Bar.

It's a good way to cool off during hot Florida days.

Here you can enjoy delicious burritos, quesadillas, salads and more with your choice of toppings at Moe's.

Panda Express: Find on-the-go versions of your Asian-inspired favorites on Panda Express.

Starbucks: Need I say more?

Everyone's favorite coffee shop will keep you fueled throughout the day.

The best tips for CityWalk Orlando

There is a journey between the parking garages and the security center, which leads to CityWalk.

To help pick up your pace, moving walkways are open to help you move forward.

When it comes to good manners, treat the moving walkway like a road.

Slow walkers to the right, fast-paced people to the left.

Remember, no carts. Don't be the group that's slowing down traffic!

Try something unique.

Of course, a simple dinner at the Burger King Whopper Bar is an explosion of flavor. However, we recommend thinking outside the box for your dining options.

red-oven-citywalk
Red Oven Pizza at Citywalk Orlando

Instead, try the Red oven pizza as a more exclusive and low-cost option.

Don't wait around. Are you just wanting a quick drink or snack? Skip the full dining experience.

There are many great places where you can have a good time without investing a lot of time or money.

Grab a milkshake from the ordering station at Toothsome or head to the Margaritas Surf Shack for the Jimmy Buffett drink.

Eat at alternate times

Having lunch at 1pm on the dot or dinner at 7pm is a surefire way to get caught up in a long wait.

Try scheduling meals at irregular times – have a late lunch around 2:30 pm and dinner around 8 pm.

This will allow you to use that cooldown time for better things!

Make reservations.

If you're looking to eat at Antojitos, call ahead or book online to secure a table for your family without a long wait.

Schedule a night around your entertainment.

Have tickets for the Blue Man Group?

Blue man group
Blue man group

Be sure to time your evening wisely so you can enjoy a great dinner in plenty of time to make it to the show.

Whether or not you're at CityWalk Orlando before a show.

Be sure to arrive two hours before show time to allow enough time for parking, security and travel.

Take advantage of the dining and entertainment offerings.

For example, you can enjoy a full-service meal that includes an entrée and non-alcoholic beverage and dessert at select restaurants and a Blue Man Group show for a discounted combo price.

Plan, plan, plan. There are tons of shopping, dining and entertainment options at CityWalk.

Research the options and find out what would be best for you and your group, if you need a little extra help, don't forget to reach out to us for one. Custom script.

CityWalk will astound you with its splendor, so it's good to have an "attack" plan in place before you get there.

plan efficiently

Think you'll be spending a lot of money at a particular store? Save that for later so you don't have to carry your bags around all day.

Beware of time

As in the parks themselves, the Universal CityWalk Orlando it's a mostly outdoor experience.

If there's rain in the forecast (which happens more often than you might think), bring emergency umbrellas, raincoats, or ponchos.

It's much better to be prepared than having to hide in a store.

Even beware of good weather.

Again, CityWalk will expose you to all the elements. Wear sunscreen and stay hydrated to keep the family excited.

Please note that some of the bars, restaurants and clubs charge a cover fee of USD $ 7 (some only after a certain period of time, usually 22:00), and only adults aged 21 and over are allowed.

These include The Groove, Bob Marley – A Tribute to Freedom, Pat O'Brien's, Rising Star and Red Coconut Club.

Of those five spots, the only place you can't use the Party Pass is Bob Marley – a tribute to freedom.

If you are a holder of a annual pass, use your discount.

It's easy to forget since you're not in the parks, but still keep your Universal CityWalk pass handy.

Many stores and attractions offer special prices.

We've reached the end! Whoa, time to breathe! Do you believe there is so much to do in the heart of Universal Orlando? It's definitely worth spending a night – or even a whole day – here.

It's the perfect place for a getaway, whether you want a wild night of karaoke and cocktails or a laid-back afternoon filled with fast food and shopping.
