We're a little suspicious to talk because he's one of our Favorite hotels from every Disney resort.
If we are going to take only the resort value ones (cheaper), it is without a doubt the best of them all!
We honestly believe that it should have a category of its own, we have stayed in several Disney hotels and we can say that the Art of Animation seems to be a category above the others. All Star Hotels.

What is Disney's Art of Animation like?
Art of Animation is a resort made up of 4 different areas. It is located more or less in the same “block” as the Pop century, with Hourglass Lake separating the two resorts.
It is one of Disney's newest hotels and also one of the "budget resorts" with excellent prices that rival any other Disney hotel.
Its main feature, however, is that it is fully decorated based on 4 Disney animations: Little Mermaid, The Lion King, Finding Nemo and Cars.
Each of these areas is made up of a few buildings (there are 3 per area in The Little Mermaid and Cars and two more per area in the Lion King and Nemo sector).
All areas are heavily decorated with their movie theme. This makes Art of Animation the prettiest resort that has the most impact on kids going to Disney, without a doubt. Check out some images:
The decor is so good that you feel like you're part of the set of these movies, without a doubt, especially the Lion King and Cars.
The resort has three pools (one in the Little Mermaid area, another in the Carros area, and a Finding Nemo-themed “main” pool). The main pool even has underwater music. In fact, all guests from any area can go to any pool.
Bonus
A very recent addition to Walt Disney World was the famous Skyliner. It is Disney's newest means of transportation, it connects some hotels to Hollywood Studios and Epcot.
And if you guessed that one of the hotels is the Art of Animation, you're right! And that became a new perk for staying here. Well the Disney Skyliner it's an amazing means of transport to take to the parks.
how are the rooms
As stated before, the resort is divided into 4 different wings. Of these, 3 are composed of “family suites” rooms (or family suites, in Portuguese) and only one is with American standard rooms.
We stayed in the small series which are the smallest rooms and we loved our stay there.
Let's start by breaking things down:
- the wing of Little Mermaid has American standard rooms;
- the Lion King, Nemo and Cars wings have family suite rooms.
Family suites are larger than ordinary rooms and can accommodate up to 6 people.
They have a queen-size bed, a double sofa bed, a table that converts to a third double bed, two bathrooms and a mini-kitchen with microwave and minibar.
The American standard rooms have two double beds, a bathroom, a digital safe (it's the only Disney resort with this treat) and a minibar (but no microwave).
Remembering that ariel's rooms do not have a microwave in the room, however, as we show in our youtube video, there are microwaves in the food court that can be used 24 hours a day.
which room to choose
The first element to consider when choosing the best type of room for you is, of course, the size of the group that will travel with you.
If you are traveling in a small group of up to 4 people (you, spouse and two children, for example), American Standard Rooms are a good choice.
If the group is larger, up to 6 people, the ideal is to opt for the family suite.
For example, we've already talked about buy food at a supermarket and make it at the hotel, which greatly reduces the cost of food.
Another way to decide is to do some math.
Therefore, do the math with the values of the family suite and your expected food expenses. Who knows, you might end up paying less in the end?
Apart from this division of the rooms, there is absolutely no other difference between them except the decor, of course. Each room is decorated with the style of the wing where it is located.
In other words: the room in the Lion King's wing has a jungle decoration, with characters from the movie. Nemo's room has maritime decor and so on.
Disney's Art of Animation installationsand
Disney's Art of Animation is a very large resort with a good structure for its guests.
As we said earlier, there are 3 pools.
Two are located at the ends of the place (the Little Mermaid wing and the Carros wing) and are relatively small.
The third is in the center of the hotel, facing the reception and in front of the Finding Nemo wing.
This pool is huge and it's the the only one in the Disney complex that plays music underwater.
In the central building, with the reception, the hotel has a very robust food court. There are many dining options for any time of day.
The square is open from 6 am to midnight. Room service allows you to order pizzas until 1 am at the latest.
In terms of entertainment, the resort has the basic Disney options: an arcade and games room, a children's playground, pool activities, an outdoor cinema and a walking trail.
About the infrastructure, the resort has laundry facilities, transfer to the airport and for the parks, in addition to free Wi-Fi, right?
Finally, the hotel has an advantage that no other hotel has because of its location: a direct view of the fireworks show at Epcot and the Hollywood Studios.
Of course, it's not the same as being in these parks: there's no music and the fireworks are a bit far away, but it's still a very interesting attraction.
If possible, we recommend that you catch at least once the shows of Epcot and Hollywood Studios live at the parks. Then you can enjoy it from your hotel window.
Book your stay at Art of Animation
Considering all this information about Disney's Art of Animation, it's time to decide if the hotel is right for your trip or not.

Tips for Disney's Art of Animation
Our first tip is, if possible, do not rent a car during the period you are staying at this hotel.
Not just this hotel, all of Disney. Why ?
Well, firstly because overnight parking is now charged for Disney hotels and if you plan to visit the Disney parks During this period you probably won't take your car out of the parking lot.
We know that there are different profiles of travelers. We usually stay in 2, 3 hotels during our trips to Orlando.
That's because first we save (believe it or not) and so we live several different experiences along the trip.
The second tip is, take a few hours out of your stay to walk around the hotel. In fact, we recommend that you do this even if you are not staying at this hotel.
It is beautiful and has a lot to see and for sure you will have amazing photos of this place ( again, watch our video on youtube )

Naturally, it is at the Disney resort, more specifically, it is close to Epcot parks and Hollywood Studios.

Food in Art of Animation
Art of Animation like the other cheaper Disney resorts have only one food court, this is called Landscape of Flavors.
Honestly out of all the hotel food courts we went to this was by far the best.
Not for the price, as prices are almost fixed around the resorts, but you will find several food options there.
The menu varies depending on what time you go with more options for breakfast, lunch or dinner.
However, it is possible to find many good things at any time.
We recommend eating it for breakfast if you only have to choose 1 meal.
The reason is simple.
We found the food at these food courts to be very more or less overall.
Breakfast usually has better options for us Brazilians like waffles and pancakes (and bacon kkkkk) which are very pleasant to my taste!
Worth staying at the Art of Animation
The Art of Animation is considered one of Disney's value hotels and among all the Disney Value hotel options, the Art of Animation is without a doubt the best.
It's ok that its price is slightly higher than other value like the All Stars.
And yes, we know that Disney hotels are objectively more expensive than International Drive hotels for example.
However, you can get much more for the amount you pay at these Disney-owned hotels.
One of the greatest examples for this hotel today is the Disney Skyliner.
Disney Skyliner
The Disney Skyliner It's Disney's newest means of transportation.
With it, you can go directly from your hotel to Hollywood Studios or Epcot on an incredible Disney transportation with lots of cool views.
It's sort of a Disney-themed cable car (obviously).
I have to say, on very hot days, it gets really hot in the middle of the day so try to get it as early as possible, because we always recommend getting to the parks early.
Also, he's not very fast either.
However, it can be quite comfortable for those going with children as you can easily get in with your stroller!
